And another one..

At first I wasn't overkeen on these Tilda stamps, but they grew on me and there's so many different designs now that there's at least one for every occasion.

I started with a white tall blank and used the flowered stamp from SU's Boho Backgrounds to create my own patterned paper for SCS's LS164 challenge. I used Pretty In Pink ink on a pale blue piece of card. I stamped Tilda with Versafine ink and coloured in with my Polychromos and Sansodor. She was then mounted on to the same blue and some pink cardstock.

I had this great idea to use these swirly clips from Woodware somewhere on this card and as it was a tall card the gap under the image needed filling in a bit. I threaded some pink and blue satin ribbon through each side and attached them behind the blue cardstock. I then added a greeting from HOTP just to finish it off. I also added a couple of prima flowers in blue and pink to the corners of the main image to pretty it up even more.

This is one of those cards I really like and never actually want to give to anyone. Maybe I should just make another huh?

It's been a long time...

Wow I haven't blogged for an age. Work has been so busy - that's my excuse anyway. Writing 30 end of year reports after marking 30 maths SATS papers, 30 mental maths, 60 writing, 30 spelling and 30 reading papers does take a bit of time. I've also been busy making 5 sets of notecards for my TAs as well (I'll be posting pictures of these later when I've taken some).

This card was made for the SCS challenge CC163 which was to use Pretty In Pink, Certainly Celery and Chocolate Chip.

I started with a Certainly Celery base. Next I used some Berry Bliss Papers mounted on to a piece of Pretty In Pink. I stamped the middle cupcake first then used a mask to stamp the others so they were behind the middle one. I mounted this piece onto Chocolate Chip and coloured them all in using the SU markers in the same colours. I added different coloured Stickles to the sprinkles on the cupcakes to give it that little bit of bling.

The multi-coloured scalloped edge is made up of lots of 1" circles all individually glued to the back of the main image. The sentiment also comes from the same Hero Arts Cupcakes set and I simply wrote over the words in the SU Markers.

To finish off I added a wide piece of Certainly Celery ribbon and tied a piece of Pretty In Pink taffeta and Chocolate Chip twill in the centre.

Such a cute card for anyone who loves their cupcakes.
