Lacy Sunshine Challenge #43 - Weather/Change of Season

Good morning! I hope you've all had a good weekend so far and managed to squeeze in some crafty time too! Hope you can squeeze some more in today too for our next Lacy Sunshine Challenge #43, which is to shoe different types of weather or a change in the season. With Autumn being well and truly here in the UK - we had quite a bit of rain last week, typical Autumn weather for us - so I thought I would go with an Autumn themed card.

I used the adorable Gusty Oak Flower Pot Pretties digi for my card - love this one. She's just so cute! As are all the Flower Pot Pretties - they are my favourite range from Heather.

We don't generally send out Autumn cards here in the UK, so I left off the sentiment until I decide to send her, but I think a thank you might be appropriate.

I'm also entering this card into Open Minded Crafting Fun Challenge #20 Fall or Autumn.

Recipe:

Stamps: Gusty Oak Flower Pot Pretties from Lacy Sunshine

Papers: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Haiku DSP (Retired), Woodland Walk DSP (Retired)

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to pop on over to the Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog and check out all the other gorgeous cards from the DT and join in the fun whilst you're there too.

Warm Winter Wishes

The current challenge over at Whimsy Stamps #75 is to make a monochromatic project so I thought blue and white would be a good combo for a Christmas card and then I could enter all the Christmas challenges that have popped up this week. This card is also for Fab 'n' Funky's Challenge #230 to make a Christmas card as is Crafty Sentiments Challenge and The Outlawz Friday Colouring Challenge is an Anything Goes challenge with the optional twist of making a Christmas card.  And I also had to enter this into Papertake Weekly's Oh How Cute challenge.

This card is also for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge and for Scrapper's Delight Challenge #32 both of which are Anything Goes challenges.

And here's my card using Penny's Friend. I used the stripes on the umbrella for the inspiration of the layout and came out with this half sunburst idea. Love all the rich, bright colours on this one!

Art by MiRan September Facebook Challenge #2 - Anything Goes

Happy Friday. It's nearly the weekend - yay! It's also time for another Facebook Challenge in the Art by MiRan group and this week it's another easy one - Anything Goes as long as you use an image by Art by MiRan. That can also include the stamps from MiRan's Whimsy Stamps line and those from Treasured Times as well.

I used the gorgeous Pretty Molly for my card and made a double centre step fold card (not sure if this is it's real name, but it's what I'm calling it. It has an extra step in the centre, which makes three steps, so should it be a triple step? This style uses almost a whole sheet of A4 card, with a few alterations here and there as it was too tall and too wide for my liking.

I went for a pastel colour theme and am also entering this card into The Ribbon Girl's Pastels Colour Challenge this week.

Recipe:

Stamps: Pretty Molly from Art by MiRan, Mini Blooms, Think Big Favorites #15 both from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White all from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

Druscilla's Thinking of You

Tiddly Inks Challenge #141 is one of my faves this week - use fairies. I love my fairies, so this challenge couldn't have been any better. The only problem was which one to use! In the end I went for Druscilla as she fit the sketch from Sketch and Stash's Challenge #147 the best. This card is also for In The Pink's Challenge #53 to use sparkle and bling, for Through The Craft Room Door's Challenge which is an Anything Goes one and for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge which is also an Anything Goes Challenge. I opted not to include the twist this time!

Lucy Loo the Flower Goddess

I am SO glad it is Saturday today! I have been so exhausted all week and had a very early night last night, but felt ready for a fun day of crafting this morning! This first card is for The East Wind's Challenge #15 Feel the Fall. Although my card is not traditionally Autumnal, I did use the colours from the season - orange, purple and dark brown, so I hope that counts enough.

This card  is also for Crafty Sentiments Challenge which is also to use Autumn colours, Inky Chicks Challenge #38 Anything Goes, Totally Gorjuss' Challenge #253 to use string (I used twine, but as some of the DT used it too, I guess it counts!) and for the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge to use the sketch below.

And here she is. The background looked a bit plain so I started off adding a few dots in 3 different colours and that just ended up spreading and spreading so I dotted all of the background and I love how it came out!

Recipe:

The Paper Shelter Challenge #174 - Ribbon, floss and/or twine

It's time for another challenge from The Paper Shelter and this week we would like to see you use ribbon, floss and/or twine on your projects. A really simple one this week that everyone can join in with, don't you think?! Except it wasn't very easy for me as I had some many ideas swimming around in my head, I couldn't decide on one!

Instead of me choosing, I asked my boyfriend to pick an image from my pile of printed digis from The Paper Shelter and he chose this gorgeous image, Cirque. I think he must have been inspired by an episode of Grimm we were watching earlier that day in which Rosalee joins a Wesen circus to find out who killed two young girls. (If you don't watch it, it's a fabulous series based on the Grimm fairy tales - go check it out!).

Anyway I used the colours of Rosalee's performing outfit as the starting point for my card, added lots of stars and some ribbon of course. I totally love how this one came out!

Recipe:

Stamps: Cirque from The Paper Shelter, Star Prints, Just The Ticket, Everyday Classics all from Papertrey Ink

Lacy Sunshine Challenge #42 Fairy Dreams

Good Sunday morning! I hope you have all had a restful weekend so far. It's time for another fabulous challenge at the Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog and this week our challenge is called Fairy Dreams! You can use any winged image, but I used the funky Olive Dapplenewt, which is one of Heather's new images!

Her outfit kind of reminds me of one of mine back in the days when I could get away with short dresses, so I used colours inspired by those times. One of my favourite outfits was a short sparkly turquoise dress with knee length Doc Martens boots and my favourite hair colour was a rich purple with turquoise streaks, so I coloured up Olive in a similar style.

This was my first attempt at dip dyed hair and am pretty pleased with how it came out. We are also sponsored by Petallu, whose owner Lucinda has made the gorgeous flowers I have used. I am in love with these and they are made from such a beautiful soft paper as well. I will be going back for more!

Anyway here's my card... Isn't she cute?!

Snowy Greetings!

I don't usually start my Christmas cards this early, although I have already made a couple for specific challenges. But as this is my first pink Christmas card of the year, I thought I would enter it into Crafty Ribbons Challenge #102. I do think I'm probably stretching the challenge a bit, but I don't know anyone with a new baby for a baby's first Christmas, nor do I know anyone whose spending their first Christmas together, so first pink Christmas card it is!

This card is also for The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge to use the sketch below, Crafty Sentiments' Challenge to use spots or stripes, In The Pink's Challenge #52 to use buttons and bows and for Crafty Little Fairies September Challenge to use sparkle and bling.

And here's my card with some very strategically placed frantage to cover up the blob from my W9 marker!

Recipe:

Stamps: Christmas Dress from Crafty Sentiments, On Ice from Papertrey Ink
