My last Sketch Saturday Challenge card

Good morning and welcome to my last post for the Sketch Saturday design team. I have decided to step down from this DT as my workload at school has increased and something unfortunately has to give. This DT is my busiest, so hopefully by stepping down it will give me more time to do all the other things I need to get done each week.

I am sad to be going - I have been on the team for almost 2 years now. I joined the girls in March 2013 and they were my first busy DT, so I would love to thank everyone who I have been on the team with for all their help, support and friendship over the last two years. I will miss all you girls, but I will keep popping back to say hello! You know I love my sketches!

Anyway on to the actual challenge...This week we have a great prize to win, sponsored by our dear Niki!

Here is sketch #350:

Sassy Studio Designs Flashback Friday - Valentine Honey

Good morning and welcome to my post for Flashback Friday over on Sassy Studio Designs. Each Friday the team showcase a particular stamp from the Sassy Studio store to remind us all of some of the older, but still fabulous, images.

This week I have joined in a the GDT for this month to use the fabulous Valentine Honey, which you can buy here. I decided that instead of making a Valentine's card, seeing as that occasion has passed us by, I would use this image as a summer image instead, just to show that a particular image doesn't always have to be for a certain occasion.

The Paper Shelter Challenge #192 Make It Digital

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for The Paper Shelter's Challenge #192. This week we are challenging you to Make It Digital. You can interpret that however you wish, but I have chosen to use one of the Paper Shelter's images that has been coloured in digitally by Veronica herself and one of the matching digital patterned papers.

I used the gorgeous Fantasy Perfumes digi and paper as I thought this would make an ideal card for my MIL to send out to one of her friends. These images are gorgeously coloured and do save a lot of time for when you are needing to make a quick card. It actually took longer to cut out the pre-printed image than it did to put the rest of the card together!

Recipe:

Stamps: Fantasy Perfumes from The Paper Shelter, Petite Pairs from Stampin' Up

Papers: Pacific Point & Pale Plum (Retired) both from Stampin' Up, White card from school!

Inks: Pacific Point from Stampin' Up

The Paper Nest Dolls Inspiration Post - Zodiac Collection Pisces

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration post for The Paper Nest Dolls. I decided to use an older stamp for my card today - Pisces from the Zodiac Collection and made what I call a peephole card, because it has a peephole in it to the inside!

This is the card closed... You can see Pisces peeping out. I added swirls for the seaweed and dew drops for the bubbles on the outside. The sentiment was computer generated as I have no real mermaid related sentiments - must fix that problem LOL

And this is the inside... I used sequins for the bubbles this time so the card could close flat.

Recipe:

Stamps: Pisces from the Zodiac Collection from The Paper Nest Dolls

Papers: Bermuda Bay, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White & Retro Fresh DSP all from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

Inks: Copics Markers

Accessories: Bermuda Bay Ribbon (Retired) & Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim both from Stampin' Up, Die-Namics Fancy Flourish Die from MFT, Circle & Scalloped Circle Nestabilities both fro Spellbinders, Dew Drops, Chantilly Lace Stamping Frame Die from Die'Sire

As part of being the GDT over at Sassy Studio Designs this month, I have to make a card for one of the challenges that Sassy Studio are sponsoring this month. I loved the challenge for the Send A Smile 4 Kids challenge which is to use dies or punches on a card for a kid!

I just had to use one of Lindsay's Frozen themed images and even though I'm not a fan of the film, I do love Elsa's frozen dress! This image is just gorgeous and I thought I would turn it into a birthday card, ideal for a little Frozen fan! You can buy this digi stamp and many other gorgeous ones just here.

This card is also for Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge #268 Movie Themed.

And here she is...I went for a gatefold card this time and this is the outside... You can't really tell as my camera didn't pick it up, but her top layer part of the dress is covered with Clear Wink of Stella for a lovely subtle shimmer.

Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge #133 Tic-Tac-Toe

Good Morning and welcome to my post for the Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge blog. This fortnight it is Beth's turn to host the challenge and we are also sponsored by Live & Love Crafts. (I just placed a big order from here last week and they are just fab to order from!).

Our challenge this time is to use Beth's fabulous Tic-tac-toe board and use the elements on either a row, a column or a diagonal on your card, or if you are feeling adventurous, why not go for a full house? I did the full house and actually it was easier to do than I thought it would be. Love how Beth has added real things to her board rather than just writing the words!

And here's my card... Some bits are hard to see but they are there honestly - my butterfly border at the top was dry embossed (you can just see the dots on the top of the wings). My yellow butterflies were heat embossed with Heat 'n' Stick Powder before Dazzlin' Diamonds were added on top.

In The Pink Challenge #63 Cute!

Another easy challenge this fortnight from the In The Pink Challenge blog. This time we are challenging you to use something cute on your card. I used a cute little fairy on mine - Golden Nectar from Hoe Grown Digital @Funky Kits. isn't she just adorable?!

My lovely friend Bettina challenge me to do a more shabby chic style as it a style I love but not one that comes easily to me. I think I have too much OCD to be shabby! I do love how this card came out even if it's not quite shabby chic style - i think the pink is too bright on the petals and ribbon for shabbiness!
