The Paper Shelter Challenge #328 Use Metal

Good Morning and welcome to my post for the new challenge from The Paper Shelter. This week our challenge is for you to use metal somewhere on your project.

I used the gorgeous 99 Messages, 3 Chats image and added some brads in the corner and a metal swirl clip thing to hold the sentiment. I have had these for donkeys years and no idea where they came from, but I still hardly use them. I have silver and gold ones and thought the gold went really well with this colour combo even though gold is not a colour I use very often.

Nurse Marci Says Get Well Soon

My very close friend Jayne is very very ill at the moment and I am going to see her on Thursday as she finally feels up to having visitors after being ill for almost 3 weeks with pneumonia. I just had to make her a get well soon card using the adorable Nurse Marci from La-La Land Crafts. Isn't she just adorable?!

I don't have any dies for get well cards and I couldn't be bothered to dig my cameo out and faff around with that for a couple of little ones, so I made a clipboard using one of my dies instead.

This card is also for

Make A Splash!

Good morning and welcome to another post from me. I was on my half term holiday last week and although my other half was very poorly I had a very relaxing week off. I spent a lot of time colouring, crafting, playing WoW (World of Warcraft for those who don't know what that is) and sorting out my clothes and shoes in the second bedroom! I also managed to squeeze a fair bit of swimming time in too, which I haven't been able to do for a couple of weeks for various reasons.

Anyway....this is one card I made using some stamps I coloured up for the 30 day colouring challenge, which I managed 18 days of this time! I used my new Distress Oxide inks for the sea on this one and sprayed them lightly with water to activate the ink (or whatever you call it). Although the effect is subtle, I really liked it. Definitely going to be buying more of these and learn more about what I can do with them!

And my bubbles were made with my new Nuvo Glitter Drops - I now know why everyone raves about these! These are fabulous and the dots stayed in perfect bubble shapes too! Much better than other glitter glues I have tried!

Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Post - Fading Hearts

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration post for Ching-Chou Kuik today. I decided to use the gorgeous Fading Hearts image this week from the Valentine Love Fairy set and as I am trying to use up some old stash (to try and make some space but I think it will take me a very very very long time to do that!), I used some older patterned papers from Lili of the Valley's NitWit Collections from when they used to sell them years ago!

I love the softer colours in this collection and have also found that NitWits sell these papers as a digital download too, so I might have to buy those for when I need to add more to this paper pad!

Little Miss Muffet Stamps Guest Designer Post

A little while ago I was invited to be a guest designer for the Little Miss Muffet Stamps Challenge blog and of course I said yes! Their stamps are just adorable and I love the Polka Dot Pals images. I chose to use the newly released sweet Jacinda and coloured her up using one of my favourite colour combos - red, aqua and brown.

I also used the Polka Dot Pals Add On Faces to add some more features to her face as my drawing skills are not that great! Love this addition to these images as you can give them all sorts of different facial expressions.

I thought the sentiment went really well with this image as she looks like she is making a big gesture with her hands there!

This card is also for
As You Like It Challenge Favourite Way to Add A Sentiment (Love stamping mine as I can then match the colour of my inks to my patterned papers, card and coloured image!)

Recipe:

The Paper Shelter Challenge #326 - Decorate It

Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from The Paper Shelter. This week our challenge is called Decorate It, so we would love to see you add lots of embellishments and layers to your project.

I used the adorable Pixie Caramel Macchiato and went for a green and dark brown combo with a touch of pink. Unfortunately I coloured the image before thinking about what papers I had to go with it, so had to spend ages finding some and I do think these my country style papers work well!

I added lots of layers, which is my usual style anyway, along with some extra stamped images as embellishments, some ribbon and some solid colour gems, which I think are my new favourite embellies!

Good afternoon! I thought I would share with you all a card I made this morning using my new Sweet Friends stamp set and dies from Lawn Fawn. I have made this for my "berry" best friend Michele, who loves anything and everything purple, so it just had to be in her favourite colour as well.

I had lots of fun playing around with these cute little stamps and trying out faces and the arms and legs as well. I attempted to create a three toned background for the images and sentiments as well using three different inks and I love the blend of colours too.
