Scrapper's Delights Anime New Release for January

Good evening and welcome to my DT post for the newly released Anime digital stamps from Scrapper's Delights. I am so glad it's Friday as this week has been manic as usual, but it's my little brother's 40th birthday tomorrow so we're off out for a big birthday meal!

Anyway...on to my card for this release. I used the Anime BFF image and the coordinating sentiment that comes with it using some pretty purple and lemon card and papers. I wanted to keep the background of the image fairly pale, so used my pearlescent chalks to colour it in and then rubbed it off to leave just a paler colour. Love how it came out - just enough of a colour to take the white away but not too much that it distracts from these pretty girls!

The Paper Shelter Challenge #412 Digital Image

Good morning everyone and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from The Paper Shelter. This week our challenge is for you to use a digital image, which is a nice and easy one, especially with so many gorgeous images to choose from in the Paper Shelter store! As it was my dad's birthday on Monday, I thought this was a great opportunity to make a male card, not something I do very often to be honest. I have used the fabulously named, So Classy for my card and kept it fairly simple, using some more classy patterned papers and a few buttons to embellish.

Cute As A Button Pierrot Clown

Good morning and welcome to a random post from me for today. I have joined in with the Cute As A Button Facebook Challenge this month using the adorable Pierrot Clown image. I loved Pierrot as a kid and had the whole bedroom suite - wallpaper, curtains, duvet set, lampshade, the china dolls, some canvas prints my aunt bought me for my birthday. it kind of looked like this (not my photo as I haven't got any, although my mum might have in her photo albums!). How I loved it!

Warm Holiday Hugs

Good morning and welcome to my post for today. Not my usual day for sharing random cards, but I am trying to catch up still on some of the Christmas cards I have been making recently, both before and after the event! I have so many cute images that I have stamped and printed out that I didn't get round to making in time, so I am carrying on now to build my card pile up ready for next year!

Today I am sharing this cute image from Di's Digi Stamps - Three Chilly Foxes. They are just so adorable and I decided to put them in a wintery forest scene. I can never decide what colour to use on foxes - I don't think they should be orange as foxes are more of a reddy-orangey-brown colour, but I think this combo is a bit too red, but it still kind of works. Next time I'll try more of an orangey combo!

Recipe:

Stamps: Three Chilly Foxes from Di's Digi Stamps, Fuzzy Hugs from Mama Elephant

Papers: Coastal Cabana, Real Red, Whisper White & Let It Snow DSP all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty

Faery Ink Inspiration Post

Good morning everyone! It's back to the old grindstone for me today, but at least it's just a training day so I have to listen to lots of talks in the morning followed by a couple of meetings in the afternoon and then some classroom set up time to get everything ready for when the children come back in tomorrow!

I'm still in Christmas card making mode as I had so many ideas in my head for cards and projects to make but just didn't get enough time to make them all, so I may well be making some more for a few weeks to come!

This gorgeous girl is Zahra Xmas Sweater, who is one of the Faery Ink Facebook Group freebie images which you can find here.

You can read more about her on my post over at the Faery Ink blog. See you there!

Something Else on Saturday #41 Featuring Snow Day from Lawn Fawn

Happy Saturday everyone! The last Saturday of my Christmas holidays before I head back to work on Monday. I love being a teacher at this time of year because I do get a really good break over Christmas and New Year.

I remember doing factory work years ago - it was freezing cold as the doors were always open as the pallets were always coming in and out, we had to work long hours on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve and then only had Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day off as they are Bank Holidays. So grateful I get time to relax, recuperate and catch up with friends and family during my holidays now.

Anyway on to today cards...I have two to share with you as they both use the same stamp set. I made these before Christmas but never got round to blogging them, so I'm catching up a bit here.

This first one is a green combo and the second is more red, but I love how both turned out. Cute and quick to make as well.
