13 Days of Hallowe'en #4 Featuring Vampy Friends Faedorables from Selina Fenech

Good morning and welcome to today's 13 Days of Hallowe'en post. Today I am using one of Selina Fenech's gorgeous digi stamps, Vampy Friends Faedorables. I have a few of her digi stamps now, but never seem to get round to using them, so thought I would start on this gorgeous vampire scene! (I also have a few of her books and they are really great reads!)

The flowers were a bit of a lastminute addition as I knocked over a box of flowers that spilled everywhere and as I was picking them all up noticed the black flowers and thought they would look great on this card. I rarely use black flowers on non-Hallowe'en cards and I love the little touch they add!

The Paper Shelter Challenge #458 Clean and Simple (CAS)

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from The Paper Shelter. This week our challenge is CAS or Clean and Simple. I have a really hard time doing this type of card as I always want to add more to it. I don't like lots of white space on my cards, so mine is not really CAS but just less layered and less embellished than usual.

I used the adorable Unusual Friends for my card and used a stencil to create the background paper. As I wanted the different elements of the stencil in different colours, I covered up the parts in washi tape before stencilling one image then moved the tape to do the next and so on. It took a while to do but I love the effect of it. Will have to try this again with some of my other stencils.

Something Else on Saturday #88 Featuring Holiday Mischief from Newton's Nook Designs

Good morning and welcome to today's Something Else on Saturday post. I've been back at work this week and it was just SO hard having to get up so early again! I'll be back into the swing of it all again soon! Not that us teachers have much of a choice there!

Anyway...this week's card is a left over from another card I made where I didn't need to use all the coloured images. As I only had the one image left, I decided to go very CAS (for me anyway!). I never make cards like this any more, but saw one similar on Pinterest and thought it would make for a quick and easy Christmas card. Can't remember the last time I used my embossing folders and I have tons of them!

12 Days of Christmas Countdown Day #6 Featuring Purrfect Christmas from Conie Fong

Good morning and welcome to my late post again! I am almost caught up with getting my posts out on the correct day, so huge apologies from me again! Today's card uses the adorable Purrfect Christmas digi stamp from Conie Fong, but I decided not to use the sentiment that comes with it as it was too big for my card in the end!

I made this one for our local Exotic Pet Refuge as we have bought some Christmas presents for the cats they have there and thought this image would go purrfectly! We have bought them lots of blankets, food, toys and cat nip! A great way to give back as they have not been able to open for their usual charity days this year so are really struggling for funding!

12 Days of Christmas Countdown Day #1 Featuring Newton's Holiday Mischief from Newton's Nook Designs

Good morning everyone! I thought I would attempt to do a 12 Days of Christmas Countdown feature on my blog and am hoping that I will have the time to make enough cards or projects for it!

For Day #1, I am sharing with you all this cute card using a stamp set from Newton's Nook Designs, Newton's Holiday Mischief. I went for a traditional red and green combo on this card, mostly to try and use up some old patterned papers, but I do love how it came out. The sentiments came from another NND set, A Kitten's Christmas, as I wanted bigger ones than those in the Holiday Mischief set.

Accessories: Gems from Poundland, Filigree Holly Dies from Creative Expressions
