{Dare To Be Sassy Thursday #269} You Turn Me Right Round

Good morning and welcome to my Guest Designer Post for Sassy Studio Designs. I was double lucky to win the Challenge blog guest designer spot and the Facebook challenge, so I am going to be a GDT for Sassy Studio for the next two months or so! So excited!

For this week's challenge, we are challenging you to use circles. Whether that be a circle shaped card or  circles on your card is up to you. I went for circles and made a funky circled background using lots of different patterned papers. Ching-Chou Kuik Challenge Post for January

Good morning and welcome to another challenge from the Ching-Chou Kuik Design Team. This month we are doing something a little different for our first challenge/inspiration posts. All the members of the design team were given the same image to use rather than pick the one we wanted to use. There have been so many gorgeous uses of this image, The Wild Princess, so make sure you check out all the other DT cards and projects.

Our challenge this month is to use flowers and add some ribbon - a nice easy one for the first one of the new year!

Here is mine. I wanted to use some soft pastel colours so went for a fave combo of mine, peach and pale green with touches of brown and yellow. I also used the punched out butterflies on the frame round my image - a great idea to add details and not waste them!

Art by MiRan Facebook Challenge #1 for January - Anything Goes

Good morning and welcome to my post for the Art by MiRan Facebook Challenge. Our theme this time is an easy one - anything goes as long as you use an image from Art by MiRan and that can include the rubber stamps from Treasured Times and Whimsy as well as those from the Art by MiRan etsy store.

I used the gorgeous Lady Penelope for my card this time and she was just so gorgeous to colour! She definitely looks ready to celebrate doesn't she? I didn't want to do a New Year's card as we generally don't send them out as separate cards here in the UK. You generally write Happy New Year inside a Christmas card to do both celebrations together, so I just made a time to celebrate card instead so it could be used for any special celebration.

Lots of glitz and bling on this one which always makes it so much harder to photograph.

Recipe:

Stamps: Lady Penelope from Art by MiRan, Birthday Greetings from Wild Rose Studio

Papers: Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, Naturals Ivory, Champagne Glimmer Card all from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card, Dusk Patterned Papers from Perfect Prints

Inks: Real Red from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers, Silver Star, Clear Gloss, Clear Star Gelly Roll Pens

Accessories: Basic Black Satin Ribbon (Retired?), 1/4" circle Punch both from Stampin' Up, Gems from stash, Anja's Vintage Decoration Die LR0269, Anja's Vintage Ornament 2 Die LR0270, Border Stitch Die CR1250 all from Marianne Creatables, Fancy Oval Die 6002/0258 from Joy Crafts, Faux Quilled Blooms Dies from Sue Wilson @Creative Expressions

Copics Used:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04,, R20, R30
Hair - E50, E51, E53, E55
Dress - R24, R27, R29, C5
Gloves & Trim - C3, C5, C7, C9
Eyes - YG61, YG63, YG67
Drink - R29, YG13

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to pop on over to the Art by MiRan Facebook group and check out the other cards from the DT who have joined us this fortnight as well as Bonnie our newest DT member, who is joining my Facebook team along with Pauline who is currently on vacation! Lucky lady! Don't forget to join in the challenge this time as well - there is a special surprise for everyone who enters too!

Mouse on Bluebell

I had a bit of a splurge last week with all the Easter sales on and bought myself loads of new stamps, dies and 8 packs of patterned papers! I didn't actually realise I had ordered so many until my box of goodies arrived the other day! So anyway I just had to use some of my new stash today! This card is for Crafty Little Fairies Challenge Furry Friends, Creative Inspirations Challenge #262 Cute Characters, Totally Gorjuss' Challenge #233 Cuddly and for Sketchy Challenges #72 to use Kirsty-Anne's sketch below which I adapted slightly so as not to cover up the squirrel in the top left corner.

And here's my card...
