Quick post before I'm too late

Wow this week has been crazily busy for me, what with the SU training event on Sunday, a Copics class on Tuesday and then a SU workshop on Thursday. All my spare time has been spent preparing samples and cutting up supplies this week, but I did manage to get this one card done on Sunday morning. Unfortunately I just haven't found the time to blog it, so here it is before all the challenges close!

This one is for Stacey's Curtain Call #27 to use Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery and Whisper White (what a gorgeous combo and so me this week!), Sweet Stampin's #23, the sketch and for Stamp With Us to make a birthday card. I used my gorgeous new Bella Blossoms stamp set, which I have been dying to get for ages and finally found on eBay AFTER it had retired!!! Why didn't I want it when it was current, huh?!

Recipe:

Stamps: Bella Blossoms, Short & Sweet, Circle of Friendship

Paper: Melon Mambo cs & DSP, Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Bella Rose DSP

Inks: Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Certainly Celery marker

Accessories: Pink Pirouette ribbon, eyelet border punch

Anyway best go and link before they all close! Back tomorrow with my usual weekend challenges! Enjoy the weekend!

Just a few challenges for you today!

We had a fab afternoon at school yesterday. To celebrate our outstanding Ofsted we had an extra 50 minutes break (should have been only 30 but you know it was just too nice outside to go back in) and the entire school (children, teachers and teaching assistants anyways) all got a choc ice too. My first proper ice cream of the season as well! So I was very relaxed today and managed to get quite a few cards done!

My first card is for Our Creative Corner's Sketch Challenge #12, Charisma Cardz Challenge #16 to use a quote and for SCS CC267 to use Basic Gray, Apricot Appeal and Sage Shadow. And straight away out came the Nouveau Chic DSP for this colour combo!!!

Recipe:

Stamps: Beautiful Kindness from Verve

Paper: Basic Gray, Apricot Appeal, Sage Shadow, Non SU White cs (trying to use all my old stock up!), Nouveau Chic DSP

Inks: Basic Gray, Apricot Appeal, Sage Shadow

Accessories: Apricot Appeal grosgrain ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch, Circle Nestabilities, Corner Rounder Punch

My next card is for Crazy For Challenges #34 to CASE one of the DT's cards. I chose Lynda's card here - I just loved all the Kraft! I also used CC140 to use Purely Pomegranate, Kraft and White as well as the Free For All Challenge #5 to be inspired by your favourite musical. Can you guess which one mine is? CATS!!! I love it to bits! The soundtrack is one I frequently play in school and my class are starting to enjoy it as well now and I always use the poem, Macavity, when we do performance poetry and then play the DVD version so the children can see how it is really performed!

Recipe:

Stamps: Cat Plate 1 from Pink Cat Studio

Paper: Purely Pomegranate, Kraft, Non SU white cs

Inks: Whisper White craft ink, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Ciaos

Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Papermania clear gems, Paper Piercer and mat

My next card is for another Free For All Challenge, this time #9 to make a card inspired by a vacation or dream vacation. I would love, one day, to take a hot air balloon ride preferably over the Grand Canyon so just had to pull out my little hot air balloon stamps. I also used the sketch from Papertake Weekly's Challenge #39 and I used the color combo CC133 which was to use More Mustard, Old Olive and Bashful Blue. I made a 4 x 4 inch square card for this one - I'm loving this size at the minute!

Recipe:

Stamps: Everyday Button Bits from PTI

Paper: More Mustard cs & DSP, Bashful Blue, Old Olive DSP, Non SU white cs

Inks: More Mustard, Old Olive, Stampin' Pastels (I did do a light blue dusting for the sky but you can't tell in the photo at all.)

Accessories: Buttons in Bashful Blue, More Mustard & Old Olive, Paper Piercer and Mat

My next card is another PTI one using my new Turning A New Leaf set (Thank you Linda!). This one for quite a few challenges today: the color combo is for Color Throwdown's #89 to use Almost Amethyst, Sage Shadow and Bordering Blue. The sketch challenge is from Stampin' Royalty's Challenge #16. It is also for A Passion for Papertrey's Pretty Petals challenge and for Our Creative Corner's Blooming Blossoms challenge! And guess what I finally found in a bag under my bed?! My unopened Top Note Die along with a load of Rubbernecker stamps as well!! So glad I found it - I did start thinking that maybe my BF had accidentally thrown it out!

Recipe:

Stamps: Beautiful Blooms II, Turning A New Leaf, Everyday Button Bits all from PTI

Paper: Sage Shadow, Bordering Blue, Non SU white, Tea Party DSP

Inks: Sage Shadow, Bordering Blue, Almost Amethyst

Accessories: Top Note Die!!, MS Cornice Border Punch, Purple Dew Drops, Fairytale Ribbons pack from SU (Retired)

And my final card for today I think is my fave of them all. It is for Just Add Ink Challenge #14 to Just Add Vintage, SC277 and CC180 to use Blush Blossom, Close To Cocoa and Ruby Red. I think these colours together really do give this card that vintage feel as well as the stamps and wheel. This is about as vintage as I can get though! And before you ask, no SU don't do Ruby Red ribbon. I just dyed some of the Whisper White Taffeta ribbon with my Ruby Red ink pad. Fab isn't it?!

Recipe:

Stamps: Vintage Vogue, Very Vintage wheel

Paper: Ruby Red, Blush Blossom, Close To Cocoa, Confetti White (I think this is a much softer white than Whisper White and works better with this colour combo I think)

Inks: Ruby Red, Blush Blossom, Close To Cocoa

Accessories: Whisper White Taffeta (dyed with Ruby Red ink), Eyelet Border Punch

And that's all for now folks! I'm at a SU training event tomorrow all day, so will upload some photos of the day and the projects we make later on this week. I can't wait - the last one I went to was fab and I know this one will be too!

Mini VSN - All May's Showers

It's that time again! It's the fab Mini Virtual Stamp Night over on Splitcoast Stampers and I've been invited back as a hostess for the main event in May. This weekend is, however, the mini event and there are 6 challenges covering a whole range of techniques and themes. The theme for the whole VSN is All May's Showers, so think baby showers, bridal showers, rain showers, bathroom showers and lots of flowers. So why not pop over there and have a go at some of the challenges? You have until Monday 10PM EST/ Tuesday 3AM GMT(UK time) to complete and upload some or them all. How many you do is totally up to you!

The first challenge AA is called Mae's Joy and the requirements are to make a joy fold card using the colour red, some bling and to make it "diva-worthy". I used the beautiful A Rose Is A Rose set as we all know red roses are definately something all divas must get loads of each week!!! I also used the gorgeous matching Bella Rose DSP, which I finally found on eBay. What do you think?

This is the joy fold when it's closed. You can use a sentiment or something on the bottom left corner to keep it closed, but I used ribbon instead for something a bit different.

This is the card open - I lightly stamped the smaller flower in Pink Pirouette on the inside where you would write your greeting.

Recipe:

Stamps: A Rose Is A Rose

Paper: Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, Bella Rose DSP

Inks: Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette

Accessories: Kiwi Kiss ribbon, Stardust Stickles

For the second challenge A, Babies, Babies, we had to make a baby card using monochromatic colours. I decided to use this card that I made last week for the Charisma Cardz challenge which was also using monochromatic colours.

Recipe:

Stamps: Something Sweet

Papers: Bashful Blue cs and DSP, Whisper White

Inks: Bashful Blue

Accessories: Light Blue Gingham ribbon, Crystal Effects

The third challenge, B, is called Rain, Rain Go Away! and we had to make a wet looking card using Crystal Effects/3D gloss, dew drops, acetate etc etc. I used Crystal Effects and Zoomz (like Dew Drops) on mine and used my Tilda In The Rain stamp with a really cute greeting "When Life Gives You A Rainy Day..." and inside it says " Remember to Play in the Puddles!" Fantastic!!! I also used the sketch from Sketch 'n' Color #8 and CC40 to use one colour from 3 different lists. I chose to use Bashful Blue from list A, Kraft from list B and Chocolate Chip from list C.

Recipe:

Stamps: Tilda In The Rain from Magnolia, Play in The Puddles from High Hopes

Paper: Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Non SU white cs, Bella Bleu DSP, Bashful Blue DSP

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Ciaos

Accessories: Blue Zoomz (like Dew Drops), Crystal Effects

My card for the next challenge C, May Flowers is another duplicate. We had to use popped up flowers - an easy one. I try to join up as many challenges as I can because my crafting time tends to be limited to the weekend. I just don't have the energy after work to get all my stuff out and find the inspiration to make something. I decided to use this card from last weekend as well. The centres of each flower are all popped up on foam pads.

Recipe:

Stamps: Beautiful Bloom II and Big Bold Wishes both from PTI

Paper: Chocolate Chip, Barely Banana, Whisper White

Inks: Chocolate Chip, Barely Banana, Kiwi Kiss

Accessories: Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, MS Cornice border punch (on the inside)

Challenge D, Invitation Inspiration , is to make a baby shower card, gift tag or invite. I did this one today and here's my attempt. I also used the sketch for Mojo #135 and the old color challenge from SCS CC25 to use Ballet Blue and So Saffron. I found this very old DSP in one of my Papermania 12x12 paper storage holders and thought it went perfectly with this sentiment.

Recipe:

Stamps: Bundled in Love

Paper: Ballet Blue, So Saffron, Non SU White, DSP from Paper Pizazz

Inks: So Saffron, Ballet Blue, Summer Sun marker

Accessories: So Saffron grosgrain ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch

The next challenge, E, June Brides, was to make a bridal shower card using the folded frame technique. I haven't used this technique for years - it was one of the first ones I really did before my love of stamping took over. I decided to use my new unopened pack of Night & Day DSP for this one with a touch of Regal Rose and I love it! Not your usual wedding card, but still elegant in its own way. I used the layout from Mercy's sketch challenge #70 as well.

Recipe:

Stamps: Mr & Mrs (Together Forever in the US catalog)

Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Regal Rose, Night & Day DSP

Inks: Basic Black, Regal Rose Marker

Accessories: Whisper White Satin Ribbon

Well that's all my cards for this mini VSN - hope you enjoyed looking at them all. If you do join in any of challenges, leave me a link to your cards/projects, so I can come and have a peek.

Just a couple more....

I managed to get just a few more cards done yesterday, but never got round to taking photos of them, so here they are!

My first card is for Mercy's Sketch #69 and for 2 SCS challenges - the color challenge #266  to use Blush Blossom, Ruby Red, Cameo Coral with a dessert option of Close To Cocoa or Creamy Caramel - I did Close To Close as I thought it went nicer with the other colours. And the other challenge is Free For All #8 which was to use the Out of the Box technique and embossing. I have never used this technique with nestabilities before and it took me 3 attempts before I got it how I wanted it, but doesn't she look cute?

Recipe:

Stamps: Madelynn from The Greeting Farm

Papers: Blush Blossom, Ruby Red, Close To Cocoa, Non SU white, Kaleidoscope DSP

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Ciaos

Accessories: Daisy Pattern Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Oval Nestabilities, Bronze brad, Boho Blossoms Punch

My next card is for Farm Fresh Friday's sketch challenge, Just Us Girls #29 to use pink, lavender and green and for Sweet Stamping's #22 to use stitching - I cheated and did some faux stitching instead.

Recipe:

Stamps: Ebony from The Greeting Farm, Signature Greetings from PTI, Stitches from Hot Off The Press

Papers: Pink Passion (SU), Lavender Moon (PTI), Non SU/PTI white, DSP from Crate Paper

Inks: Memento tuxedo Black, Copic Ciaos

Accessories: Lavender Moon ribbon (PTI), button from stash

And my final card for today uses SCS SC276 and Stacey's Curtain Call #26 to use Whisper White, Basic Gray, Going Gray and Crushed Curry. I also thought I'd enter it for Papertake's Weekly Challenge Cutie Pie as I thought Tilda just looked so cute sitting there holding her bee in her matching jumper hehe!!!

Recipe:

Stamps: Tilda with bee, Flower Beehive from Magnolia, Polka Dot Basics from PTI

Papers: Crushed Curry, Basic Gray, Going Gray, Non SU/PTI white cs, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP

Inks: Basic Gray, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Ciaos

Accessories: Crushed Curry Polka Dot Ribbon, Treading Water Border punch from Fiskars

I've got a lot of swaps to do this week for a SU event I'm going to on Sunday next weekend, which should be loads of fun, so will try and get some challenges done during the week as well.

Happy stamping!

Inspiring Inkin' Challenge #25 - A Colour Challenge

This fortnight's challenge on Inspiring Inkin' Challenges to use 3 colours all from the same colour family. If you haven't used Stampin' Up colour before there are currently 48 colours divided into 4 colour families, each with their own name - Bold Brights, Soft Subtles, Rich Regals and Earth Elements. The colours in each family are designed to coordinate and complement with each other.

I chose 3 colours from the Rich Regals family - Regal Rose, Rose Red and Bravo Burgundy. Now I'm not a great lover of Bravo Burgundy on its own, but when teamed up with a pink, it's a lovely dark complimentary colour.

The side twist was to use checks or gingham which I completely forgot about and only remembered once I'd finished the entire card, so apologies for that, but nevermind huh?

I also used the sketch from the Stamp With Us challenge as well.

I made faux brads for the corners using my Crop-a-dile to punch out some small circles, glued them on and then added a layer of Crystal Effects to give them a glazed, raised look. I might go back and add some more to the centre of the flowers too.

Recipe:

Stamps: A Beautiful Thing, It's Beautiful wheel

Paper: Bravo Burgundy, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Very Vanilla

Inks: Bravo Burgundy, Rose Red, Regal Rose

Accessories: Bravo Burgundy grosgrain ribbon, Crop-a-dile (to punch the little circles as SU don't have Bravo Burgundy brads), Crystal Effects

So why not give the challenge a go and don't forget to leave us a link in the inlinkz box. Which colour family will you choose?

Oh what a beautiful morning....

I've had that song in my head all day and cannot get rid of it! But it is appropriate - the sun has been beaming in my room all day! I got a few cards to show you today, for a few challenges as well.

First up is a card that I thought I would struggle with - making a Kiss (Keep It Simple, Sweetie) card for Stampin' Royalty's Challenge #15, but I really like it! I don't usually do CAS cards as I'm not a fan of all the white space, but I like this one! I also used the colour combo from Just Add Ink's #13 to use Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss and Barely Banana. And for the first time in ages I managed to decorate the inside too! I always forget to do this!

Recipe:

Stamps: Beautiful Bloom II and Big Bold Wishes both from PTI

Paper: Chocolate Chip, Barely Banana, Whisper White

Inks: Chocolate Chip, Barely Banana, Kiwi Kiss

Accessories: Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, MS Cornice border punch (on the inside)

My next card is for Charisma Cardz Challenge #15 - Monochromatic and for the sketch from Crazy for Challenges #33. After trying a few sweetie cards with this stamp set, I thought I'd try a baby's rattle and it's just as cute!

Recipe:

Stamps: Something Sweet

Papers: Bashful Blue cs and DSP, Whisper White

Inks: Bashful Blue

Accessories: Light Blue Gingham ribbon, Crystal Effects

For my next card I used the colour challenge from Sketch 'n' Color #7 to use Creamy Caramel, Close To Cocoa, Chocolate Chip and Bashful Blue and the sketch from Our Creative Corner #11. I made a cute 4" square card and much prefer this size to the usual 5" square cards I make.

Recipe:

Stamps: On A Pedestal

Papers: Bashful Blue, Creamy Caramel, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip DSP, Spiced Cider DSP

Inks: Bashful Blue ink and marker, SU markers in Chocolate Chip, Close To Cocoa and Summer Sun

Accessories: Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon

And my final card for today uses Mojo#134 - the sketch - and Color Throwdown #88 to use Tangerine Tango, Basic Gray and So Saffron. I'm not 100% sure about this card - I'm not overkeen on the Nouveau Chic panel to be honest.

Recipe:

Stamps: Beautiful Kindness, Small Tropical flower both from Verve

Papers: Tangerine Tango, Basic Gray, Whisper White, So Saffron cs & DSP, Nouveau Chic DSP

Inks: Tangerine Tango, So Saffron

Accessories: Tangerine Tango ribbon, Lemon half pearls, EK Success Wavy border punch

I just realised none of these cards use pink at all - shock horror!!! So be sure to check out my next post for the Inspiring Inkin' challenge which uses 2 different pinks!!!

Thanks for looking and happy crafting!

Spring is finally here

What a beautiful weekend we've had with all the bright sunshine. It still didn't stop me from doing some of my card challenges though. I didn't all the ones I wanted to get done, but I still managed a fair few!

First is my card for Just Add Ink #12 - the sketch and Sweet Stampin' #21 to use Not Quite Navy, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink and Kraft. I also used my one of my new fave stamp sets, Vintage Vogue. This stamp set just looks so pretty in all different colours, but pinks are still my fave! For the blue flowers I inked up the stamp using Bashful Blue, then went round the edges and centre using my Not Quite Navy marker - love how this turned out!

Recipe:

Stamps: Vintage Vogue

Paper: Pretty in Pink, Kraft, Bashful Blue, Very Vanilla

Inks: Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy ink and marker

Accessories: Kraft Taffeta ribbon

My next card is for SCS SC275 and CC265 to use Certainly Celery, Tempting Turquoise and Soft Suede (this will soon be one of our new colours - yay!). This simple looking card took me forever! I couldn't decide on the panels at first so did one in each colour, but that didn't look right so had to redo them. Then I wanted a certain sized frame, but couldn't punch it to the exact, or even close to the size I wanted so I ended up punching 4 separate corners with a bit of the sides and joining them together - what a faff!!!! But I like how it looks now I've done it.

Recipe:

Stamps: Bird On A Branch, Sweet Serenity wheel

Paper: Certainly Celery, Tempting Turquoise, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla

Inks: Certainly Celery, Tempting Turquoise, Soft Suede

Accessories: Soft Suede Polka Dot Ribbon, Certainly Celery button, Scallop Trim border and corner punches

Up next is my card for Stacey's Curtain Call #25 to use Only Orange, Green Galore, Yoyo Yellow and Pixie Pink. Yikes!!! I also used Mojo#93 that I missed. These colours sure are bright but work so very well with this stamp set - Something Sweet! I still need to go and actually buy some sweeties to put in the sweet cups and then I'll be able to make a project with them!

Recipe:

Stamps: Something Sweet

Paper: Only Orange, Pixie Pink, Whisper White, Kaleidoscope DSP

Inks: Only Orange, Green Galore, Yoyo Yellow, Pixie Pink

Accessories: Whisper White grosgrain ribbon (dyed Yoyo Yellow with my ink pad and dauber), Green Galore brads, Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Crystal Effects

My next card is for Our Creative Corner's Sketch #10 and SCS CC154 to use Certainly Celery, Orchid Opulence and Pumpkin Pie. I think this card needs a sentiment somewhere but I couldn't decide what or where so left it blank until I do decide.

Recipe:

Stamps: Playful Petals

Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Orchid Opulence, Whisper White, Certainly Celery DSP, Summer Picnic DSP

Inks: Basic Black, SU Markers in Pumpkin Pie, Orchid Opulence, Certainly Celery

Accessories: Certainly Celery and Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon, Scallop Trim and Corner punches

My next card is one of the busiest cards I've made in a while and I actually really like it even if there is a lot on it! This is for A Passion for Papertrey's Material Girl challenge, Mojo#133 which I turned on its side and for Color Throwdown #87 to use pink, gray and soft olive. I used PTI's Hibiscus Burst and Spring Moss and SU's Basic Gray. I used some of the Fleurettes II from Stampin' Up and ran my Hibiscus Burst ink cube over them and I really like the 2 tone look of them. This is also the first time I've used these flowers - they've been sat unopened in my box for at least a year!

Recipe:

Stamps: Guide Lines Two from PTI

Paper: Hibiscus Burst, Spring Moss, Bitty Dots Basics all from PTI, Basic Gray from SU, Non SU/PTI white cs

Inks: Basic Gray and Kiwi Kiss from SU(I don't have the Spring Moss ink yet! It's always out of stock when I try to order it), Hibiscus Burst

Accessories: Oval Nestabilities, Fleurettes II, Bird punch (for the leaves), Spring Moss polka dot ribbon, Spring Moss buttons, Scallop Trim border punch, Corner Rounder Punch

And my final card of the weekend is for SCS Free For All #7 to make a quilt card, CC199 to use So Saffron, Bravo Burgundy and Handsome Hunter and for Farm Fresh Friday's Spring Clean challenge. I totally forgot I had these top die note cuts that I received in a Wish RAK from SCS ages ago. I also have the die somewhere still in its wrapper never used - don't shoot me! But I couldn't find it! I remember where it used to live before I had a sort out of my crafting area in February, but now I have no idea where it's gone. I'm going to have to pull everything out and find it. I might just use it then! I still think the quilt needs something else - I should have put it through an embossing folder I think!

Recipe:

Stamps: Tiny Tags, Hugh from The Greeting Farm

Paper: Handsome Hunter, Ss Saffron cs & DSP, Bravo Burgundy, Whisper White

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Ciaos, Bravo Burgundy

Accessories: Medium Jewelry Tag Punch, Linen Thread, Top Die Note Die Cuts, Whisper White grosgrain ribbon (dyed with my Bravo Burgundy ink pad and dauber), Card Candy from Craftwork Cards

Well that's all for another weekend folks! Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts!

Last few cards of my holiday!

I can't believe how quickly the last 2 weeks have gone! Easter holidays definately need to be longer LOL I'm back at work tomorrow for a training day, then it's the weekend and then back to work for another 7 weeks before my next half term holiday.

I managed just a few more cards this week in between all the other odds and ends I was doing. This first one is for In Love With Stamping's April Challenge Anything Goes which was to use chalks and for SCS CC52F to use Pretty in Pink, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery and So Saffron. I stamped my strips using Versamark then coloured over them in the same colour chalks and chalked the edges of the strips as well. I also used chalks to colour in the cupcakes using my blender pens. I love the bright tropical colours of this one!

Recipe:

Stamps: Cupcakes wheel, Well Scripted

Paper: Pretty in Pink, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Whisper White

Inks: Versamark, Basic Black, Stampin' Pastels

Accessories: Paper piercer and mat

Next is the week's entry for Stacey's Curtain Call #24 to use Kraft, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Garden Green and White. I really struggled with this one as I'm not a fan of Garden Green at all. It's just too dark for my liking, but I gave it a shot anyways. I'm also entering it for Sweet Stamping's Challenge #20 to make a man's card, which I think these colours definately are. I also used an old Mojo Sketch #107 as I'm trying to get through all the ones I missed.

Recipe:

Stamps: Happy Moments, Party Teddies from Elzybells

Paper: Kraft, Garden Green, Whisper White, Rainbow Sherbet DSP

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Ciaos

Accessories: Mini buttons from Papermania, So Saffron ribbon, Corner Rounder Punch, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder

My next 3 cards all use some of the fab new stamp sets and papers from the new mini catalogue that came out last week. If you would like to order any of these or any other stuff from Stampin' Up, drop me an email at saffivort@yahoo.com

The first one is for this month's colour challenge on ILWS to use Pixie Pink, Pink Passion and Pretty in Pink and also fitted the colour challenges for SCS CC112 & CC136 both of which were to use any combination of pinks! The layout comes from Mojo#98 as well. I'm also entering it for the Charima Cardz Challenge #14 to make a thank you card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Something Sweet

Paper: Pink Passion, Pixie Pink, Whisper White, Tea Party DSP

Inks: Pixie Pink, Pink Passion, Pretty in Pink

Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Pretty in Pink Taffeta ribbon, Circle Nestabilities, Crystal Effects

My next one uses the fab new Bird punch. This punch is in the new flat style and locks closed so it take up less rooms than the old style punches. It's so easy to use as well.I used the sketch from Mercy's #68 and the colour combo from Stampin' Royalty's #14 to use Taken With Teal, Tempting Turquoise and So Saffron. See that shimmer on the birdie's body too? That's the new shimmer paint in Frost White just to give the bird a little bit of sparkle!

Recipe:

Stamps: None!

Paper: So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise, Taken With Teal, Sweet Pea DSP

Accessories: Large Bird Punch, Circle Nestabilities

And my final card for today uses the new Sweet Pea papers and matching stamp set! I used Sketch 'n' Color's #6 for my layout and took the colours from the DSP for a change!

Recipe:

Stamps: Sweet Pea, Something Sweet

Paper: So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White

Inks: So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive

Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Pretty in Pink Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Paper Piercer and Mat

And now my holiday has come to an end I'll be back to doing my usual marathon card making challenges at the weekends :( Thanks for looking - hope you enjoyed them all!

The Paper Shelter Challenge #665 - Anything Goes With the Optional Twist of Colours of Love

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for this fortnight's challenge from The Paper Shelter . This time our challenge is the usual Anyt...
