This week's cards and a mini scrapbook!!

I've managed to get loads of crafting done this week whilst on my Easter hols! I did do a bit of shopping in Milton Keynes as well and spent loads! I got a great new handbag and matching purse set from Boros, which are chocolate chip with white polka dots! I'll have to take a photo of it in the daytime tomorrow to add to here - it was a bit too dark to take it earlier when I was doing all my card photos and it didn't come out very well inside. It needs more natural light!

My first card is for Mercy's Sketch #67 and for Sketch 'n' Color's #5 to use Ballet Blue, Rose Red, Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White. A busy color challenge there girls!

Recipe:

Stamps: Good Friend, Wow Flowers

Papers: Ballet Blue, Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Rose Red DSP, Pumpkin Pie DSP

Inks: Ballet Blue, Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie ink and marker, Rose Red

Accessories: Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch

My next card is for Mojo #132 and SCS CC264 to use So Saffron, Basic Gray and Bermuda Bay. I was lucky enough to nab myself one of the Welcome Neighbor DSP packs available in the US for the Sale-A-Bration and it has come in very handy for this card!

Recipe:

Stamps: Black Tie Birdies from Verve

Papers: So Saffron cs & DSP, Basic Gray cs, Whisper White, Welcome Neighbor DSP pack

Inks: So Saffron, Bermuda Bay

Accessories: So Saffron ribbon, Circle Nestabilities

Up next is a card for last week's Sweet Stampin #19 (I'm a day late uploading - oops!) and for SCS CC263. I found this cute stamp in my local craft store and it was perfect for this sketch and color challenge!

Recipe:

Stamps: Curvy Verses, Bird & Bear by Penny Johnson

Papers: Creamy Caramel, Dusty Durango, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Welcome Neighbor DSP pack

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Ciaos, Dusty Durango

Accessories: Flowers from Prima, Flower brads from Papermania, Oval Nestabilities, Dusty Durango Polka Dot Ribbon, Scallop Trim Border Punch

My fourth card this week is for Mojo #96 and Color Throwdown #86 to use Yoyo Yellow, Soft Suede and Garden Green. I used two of my new PTI stamp sets for this card - look further down for a few more new PTI sets too!

Recipe:

Stamps: Polka Dot Basics, Beautiful Blooms II, Flower Garden Sentiments all from PTI

Papers: Yoyo Yellow, Soft Suede, Garden Green, Stamper's Select White

Inks: Yoyo Yellow, Soft Suede, Garden Green

Accessories: Yellow satin ribbon from stash, Circle Nestabilities

My 5th card is for 5 challenges and is my last Easter card too! It's for Charisma Cardz #13 - Animal Magic - I have chicks on mine; Stampin' Royalty #13 to make something for Easter; Papertake Weekly's #38 - an open challenge which could be for anything; Mojo #94 and finally for SCS CC120 to use Cool Caribbean, Marigold Morning and Pretty in Pink! I don't have any Cool Caribbean cs but I did have some old DSP with it in luckily and instead of Marigold Morning I used Summer Sun as I have nothing at all with that colour in. I don't think I was even card making when these in colors came out!

Recipe:

Stamps: Easter Chick Trio from Elzybells, Sentiment from High Hopes Stamps

Paper: Summer Sun, Pretty in Pink, Non SU White, Petals and Paisleys DSP

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Ciaos

Accessories: Pink grosgrain ribbon from Taylored Expressions

Up next is another Beautiful Blooms II card but this time using a different flower from the set. There's so many gorgeous flowers in this set and each come in 3 different sizes so perfect for layering. This card is for Our Creative Corner #9 and Colour Q's #26 to use Certainly Celery, Bermuda Bay, Lavender Lace, Lovely Lilac and White.

Recipe:

Stamps: Beautiful Bloom II and Flower Garden Sentiments from PTI

Paper: Lavender Lace, Certainly Celery, Lovely Lilac, Stamper's Select White

Inks: Lavender Lace, Certainly Celery, Lovely Lilac, Bermuda Bay

Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, Lilac flower eyelets from Doodlebug, Bermuda Bay Polka Dot Ribbon

Up next is another PTI flower card, but this time using a different new set of mine! I love the layering of the flower on this one, although you can't see it too well in the photo, but the flower has 3 layers to it and really stands out in real life. This is for SCS SC274, CC16 and CC108A (a repeat of CC16 so therefore it counts for both :P) and for Crazy for Challenges #31 to use Kraft cs as your card base. I'm also going to enter it for Just Add Ink #11 - to just add ink! I used 2 different inks and 2 different copic markers - hope that's enough different inks for this challenge!

Recipe:

Stamps: In Bloom, Dot Spot from PTI

Paper: Kraft, Whisper White, Groom DSP, Real Red DSP from retired hostess pack

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Ciaos, Real Red

Accessories: Black satin ribbon from stash

This week's Farm Fresh Friday challenge was a sketch and I also used CC38 which was to use Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Basic Black and White. I thought the black would look too harsh against the paler colours but it goes really well with this DSP, which isn't strictly Celery or Pink but close enough to get away with it!

Recipe:

Stamps: Miss Anya Love Collection, Tiny Tags

Papers: Certainly Celery, Basic Black, Whisper White, DSP from Best Creation Inc.

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Ciaos

Accessories: Medium Jewelry Tag Punch, Black Organza Ribbon from stash, Circle Nestabilities

And my final card for today is for Taylored Expressions Sketch #107, Our Creative Corner's Break Out The Buttons challenge and SCS CC186 to use Really Rust, Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze. This is another new PTI set of mine - I think I managed to use all 5 of my new sets too! I just love this sentiment on this card!

Recipe:

Stamps: On My Couch Additions from PTI

Paper: Really Rust, Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip DSP

Inks: Really Rust, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip

Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Dark Chocolate Buttons  and Ocean Tides buttons both from PTI

And finally....a made another mini scrapbook like the one I did here. My mother-in-law saw it and wanted me to make one for my sister-in-law for her birthday so she could record special events of her own grandchildren. As the 2 grandchildren are a boy and a girl I came up with a Barely Banana based scrapbook with pages instead that were specifically boy ones in Bashful Blue or girl ones in Pretty In Pink or neutral in Barely Banana. My MIL asked for Nanny's Memories to be written on the front.

The title has to be shunted over to the left so you could see it all when it was closed. I did use the wrong punch on the flap as well! Hope my SIL doesn't notice too much!

The next photos are the inside pages in order. They basically alternate in neutral, boy, girl pages and then my SIL can choose which photos to put where.

Neutral with lambs on

Boy with teddy bears on

Girl with toys on

Neutral with giraffes on

Boy with toys on

Girl with teddy bears on

Neutral with baby on moon on

I started this back in February half term and haven't touched it since, but as it's my SIL's birthday next week I thought I'd better get it done. I just hope she likes it as much as I do!

Recipe:

Stamps: None

Paper: Barely Banana, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Dovecraft Baby Collection

Inks: Barely Banana, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink

Accessories: Pewter Jumbo Eyelets, Eyelet Border Punch, MS Doily Lace Border Punch, Round Tab Punch, Photo Corners Punch, Light Pink Gingham ribbon, Light Blue Gingham Ribbon, Yellow Gingham ribbon from stash, various other sticky ribbon on inserts (not shown), 6x6" page protectors, Sizzix Scribbles die, Sizzix Flower Die, Sizzix Alphabet (it's so old I have no idea what it's called because it's not in the original long plastic box!), Long Rectangle Nestabilities

Phew and that's it for another day. I really should get in the habit of blogging a bit more often but I would much prefer to do my card making than blog about it!

Thanks for looking!!
