First post of Feb

Hello and good evening! The first weekend of February is usually a good one for me - it's payday! Yay!!! I ordered myself some new stamps from PTI and Waltzing Mouse, some ribbon from Crafty Ribbons, some Card Candy from Craftwork Cards and 6 new books for my Kindle! And that should be all my splurges done for the month, but I bet I find something else I need sooner or later! I'm at Monica's Stampin' Up training event tomorrow, so I won't be able to get all my challenges done this weekend, so a good excuse for doing a bit more crafting during the week.

Anyhow on to the cards...This first one is for Viva La Verve's February Sketch #2, Color Throwdown's Challenge #127 to use Early Espresso, Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake and So Saffron and for Farm Fresh Friday's A Sew Easy challenge to use sewing. I painstakingly handstitched the cross-stitches down the centre panel as I cannot use a sewing machine for the life of me and I really wanted real stitching on this one!

Recipe:

Inks: Bashful Blue from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Bashful Blue grosgrain ribbon (retired) from SU, Embroidery thread from stash, Buttons from Elzybells, Labels 14 Nestabilities

My next card is for Truly Scrumptious #50 for the sketch, Just Magnolia #92 for their Anything Goes with ribbons challenge, CC56 to use Ballet Blue, Brilliant Blue, Green Galore and Tempting Turquoise and for Copic Creations #43 to use cool colours.

My next 2 cards are thank yous for Monica and Bekka for tomorrow so had to be SU only cards really, which I don't do too often at the minute.  This first one is for Just Add Ink's Challenge #54 to use Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Rose Red and Regal Rose (gorgeous combo!), for Papertake Weekly's Challenge Anything Goes with flowers and for Mojo #176 for the sketch. My card is a cute 4" square - love working with this sized card.

Papers: Regal Rose, Rose Red, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso DSP from the Neutrals pack all from SU

And my final card for today is for SC318 for the sketch and for Paper Pal Arts #79 to use Riding Hood Red, Rich Razzleberry and Certainly Celery.
