...and Butterflies

Just a few cards I made this week with butterflies on.

My first one is for Make It Monday #11 to use the PTI dies backwards so they emboss the cardstock instead of cutting it. Not sure if you can see, but I embossed the Mat Stack #3 die onto the white card, then masked it to stamp the background before stamping the Mat Stack 3 and Round & Round images in the embossed area. I also used the colours from old Totally Hues #1 - Hibiscus Burst, Hawaiian Shores, Simply Chartreuse and Harvest Gold.

Recipe:

Stamps: Mat Stack 3 Collection, Round & Round, Background Basics: Twinkle all from PTI

Papers: Hibiscus Burst, Hawaiian Shores, Stampers Select White all from PTI

Inks: Hibiscus Burst, Hawaiian Shores both from PTI, SU Markers in Green Galore and Summer Sun

Accessories: Hibiscus Burst Ribbon, Hawaiian Shores Button, Mat Stack 3 die both from PTI, Yellow Baker's Twine from The Ribbon Reel

My next card is for Taylored Expressions Sketch #137 (I swapped the orientation of the oval round to fit my sentiment better though) and Play Date Cafe's Challenge #78 to use red, light blue and light pink. I found this gorgeous pack of Stella Rose papers from My mind's eye in my pile that are just lush! I have umpteen of these 6 x 6 paper packs (I bought 5 more on Thursday - tut tut. I really should be using up my old stuff, but I just couldn't resist. Have you seen the new Echo Park papers - they are divine!)

Recipe:

Stamps: Make A Wish from PTI

Papers: Real Red, Baja Breeze both from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI, Stella Rose DSP from My Mind's Eye

Inks: Baja Breeze from SU

Accessories: Medium Scallop Die, Medium Butterfly Die, Signature Series Butterfly Dies all from PTI, Baja Breeze Seam Binding, Real Red button (retired) from SU, Oval and Beaded Oval Nestabilities

My next one is for Viva La Verve's April Sketch #4 and Free For All #61 to use orange. I used another new pack of papers - Milton & Co from Wild Rose Studio for this one - another pack of gorgeous papers all in orange, green and brown. This sketch wasn't the easiest to do either (especially while trying to watch Grease on TV last night! It took basically the whole of the film to make, but part of that time was spent singing along! He he)

Recipe:

Stamps: All About You from PTI

Papers: Certainly Celery, Peach Parfait, Whisper White all from SU, Milton & Co DSP from Wild Rose Studio

Inks: Certainly Celery, Peach Parfait both from SU

Accessories: Peach Parfait ribbon, Scallop Border Punch both from SU, Doily Details Die, 1 3/4" Limited Layers Circle Die both from PTI

And my final card doesn't really have butterflies on but there are some on the patterned papers at the bottom! I made 4 of these quick cards for my MIL to give out for Easter and thought they came out quite cute!

Recipe:

Stamps: Friendship Jar, Friendship Jar Spring Fillers, Mat Stack 4 Collection both from PTI

Papers: Barely Banana, Pale Plum (both retired) both from SU, Stampers Select White, Egg Hunt Patterned Paper pack both from PTI

Inks: Pale Plum, Barely Banana (both retired) both from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Mat Stack 4 die, 1 3/4" Limited Layers Circles die from PTI

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!
