Feeling Blue???

Nope I'm not, but I've been using blue a lot the past couple of days and really like how it looks on cards. I tend to use blue for masculine cards more than anything, probably because I prefer pinks and purples myself. But these blues were all for more feminine cards, and do look pretty, even if I do say so myself.

My first one is for Mojo Monday Challenge #186 for the sketch, old Totally Hues Challenge #2 to use Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides, Raspberry Fizz and Dark Chocolate and for Make It Monday #10 to use PTI dies to make a mask. I used both the medium butterfly and Signature Series butterfly die to ink up and then stamp over with my new beautiful Twinkle set.

Recipe:

Stamps: Background Basics: Twinkle, Fillable Frames #1 both from PTI

Papers: Ocean Tides, Raspberry Fizz, Aqua Mist, Stampers Select White all from PTI

Inks: Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky (retired - my Aqua Mist is all but dried up now and I have no reinker)

Accessories: Signature Series: Butterfly Die, Medium Butterfly Die, Victorian Lace Border Die, Buttoned Up #2 Die, Background Basics: Diamonds Impression Plate, Polka Dot Basics II Impression Plate all from PTI, Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon (retired), Oval Punches all from SU, Chocolate Baker's Twine from Martha Stewart

My next blue card is for old Mojo Monday Challenge #88 for the layout and CC317 to use Baja Breeze, Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz. I really didn't think I would go for this Baby Blossoms set when it first appeared in the new mini catalogue, but I have seen some really beautiful cards made with it and I'm really liking it now!

Recipe:

Stamps: Baby Blossoms, Perfect Punches from SU

Papers: Baja Breeze, Poppy Parade, Whisper White, Springtime Vintage DSP all from SU

Inks: Baja Breeze, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz all from SU

Accessories: Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Sweet Buttons Embosslits, Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding Ribbon, Eyelet Border Punch, Curly Label Punch all from SU

My next card is for old Mojo Monday Challenge #87 and Color Throwdown's Challenge #136 which was to use Orange, Soft Sky and Kraft. As I'm trying to make a few samples for my workshop next week I swapped the colours for some current ones and used Peach Parfait, Bashful Blue and Crumb Cake, which is kraft by another name!

Recipe:

Stamps: Baroque Motifs, Curvy Verses both from SU

Papers: Peach Parfait cs & DSP from hostess pack, Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake, Whisper White all from SU

Inks: Peach Parfait, Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake all from SU

Accessories: Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Sweet Buttons Embosslits, Distressing Tool all from SU

And my final card is not for any challenges at all, believe it or not! I made this one as I had seen some many quilted ones using the new gorgeous Springtime Vintage DSP and just had to do one in blue. I'm also going to do a pink one using the Rose Red papers as well when I get a chance!

Recipe:

Stamps: Baby Blossoms, Sincere Salutations both from SU

Papers: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Springtime Vintage DSP all from SU

Inks: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy both from SU

Accessories: Top Note Die, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon, Sprintime Vintage Buttons all from SU

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!
