Blues and greens...

I completely stepped out of my usual colour palette of pinks and purples today and used lots of green and blue (although there are a few touches of pink).

This first card is way more CAS than I'm usually comfortable with doing, but I like it! Not sure if you can tell in the photo or not, but the white layer is impressed with the linen plate from PTI. This one is for Just Add Ink's Challenge #73 for the sketch and for Papertake Weekly's Here Comes The Sun Challenge. Nothing says summer more to me than eating fresh watermelons whilst sunbathing in the back garden!

Stamps: Fruit Fusion Melon from PTI

Inks: Kiwi Kiss, Groovy Guava (both retired) from SU

Accessories: Melon Die, Melon Berry Ribbon, Simply Chartreuse Button, Linen & Canvas Impression Plate all from PTI, Scallop Edge Punch from SU

My next card is for Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday Challenge #20 to use the reverse masking technique (I masked the flowers to add the gingham background to their centres), Stampin' Royalty's Challenge #77 for the sketch and Color Throwdown's Challenge #147 to use Sage Shadow, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black and Blushing Bride.

Recipe:

My next two cards are more masculine ones, both similar colour schemes, yet both very different.  This one is for a multitude of challenges: Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #141 for the sketch, Paper Pal Arts Challenge #99 to use stars, CC328 to use Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake, F4A70 to use stripes and Farm Fresh Friday's 4th of July Challenge! We obviously don't celebrate the 4th of July over here in the UK, so I made a general celebrate card, but I'm dedicating this to all my American friends. Hope they have a great day on the 4th!

And my final card for this post is for Mojo Sketch #196 and Play Date Café's Challenge #87 to use slate blue, barn red and grey. This is the colour swatch for Play Date Café's Challenge.

And here's my take on it.

Recipe:

Stamps: Background Basics: Chevron Stripes, Everyday Classics, Boy Basics: Rock On all from PTI

And that's all for this post today folks! Thanks for stopping by!
