Five flowers for you

It seems that I have used all my birthday cards up in my latest stash box (I do have boxes of cards I've made all over the place, but I keep one box near all my crafting stuff for the latest ones and then when that box is full I find an empty box to fill!). So anyway all of these cards are flowery birthday ones for you!

This first one is for Play Date Cafe's Challenge #93 to use watermelon (Poppy Parade - SU), sorbet (Berry Sorbet - PTI) and lime (Kiwi Kiss - SU retired). What a gorgeous combo this turned out to be. I also used Viva La Verve's Sketch #2 for August, Free For All Challenge #76 to use itty bitty flowers and Just Add Ink's Challenge #79 to use distressing and or tearing. I distressed all my edges and torn the edges for the mount on my strip across.

Here's the colour swatch from Play Date Cafe...

And here's my take on it...

Recipe:

Stamps: Baby Blossoms from SU, Wishing You from Verve

Papers: Poppy Parade cs and DSP from hostess pack, Kiwi Kiss (retired), Whisper White all from SU

Inks: Poppy Parade, Kiwi Kiss (retired) both from SU, Berry Sorbet from PTI

Accessories: Oval Nestabilities, Berry Sorbet Grosgrain Ribbon from PTI

My next one is for SC344 for the sketch, Paper Pal Arts Challenge #105 to use Lucky Limeade (I subbed with Pear Pizzazz), Island Indigo (subbed with Bermuda Bay) and Daffodil Delight. We don't get the new in colors over here until our new catalogue comes out in October so still a wait to go! Very annoying that they don't come out at the same time or closer to each other. I am late for the PPA challenge only because I never got myself sorted to upload my cards on here!

Recipe:

Stamps: Birthday Bash Sentiments, Turning A New Leaf both from PTI

Papers: Daffodil Delight cs and DSP from Brights stack, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Welcome Neighbor DSP (retired) all from SU

Inks: Bermuda Bay (retired), Pear Pizzazz both from SU

Accessories: Scallop Trim Punch, Bermuda Bay Ribbon (retired) both from SU, Turning A New Leaf Dies from PTI, Gems from stash, Daisies #2 Die from Sizzix

My next one is for Waltzing Mouse's Sketch Challenge #59 and CC335 to use Kraft, red and yellow. I wasn't too crazy about this combo to start with but I do like how it turned out, except for the doily trim which I just noticed when I cropped my photo. I cut it so it ran parallel with the corner piece rather than cutting it after I stuck it on! Oh well never mind!

Recipe:

Stamps: Holiday Labels #14, Dainty Doilies 2, Fancy Phrases all from Waltzing Mouse Stamps

Papers: Summer Sun (retired), Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Pink Flamingo DSP (retired), Bella Bleu DSP (retired)

Inks: Riding Hood Red, Crumb Cake both from SU

Accessories: Riding Hood Red Ribbon (retired), Labels #14 Nestabilities, Mini Rolled Roses Die from My Favorite Things

My next one is for Mojo Monday Challenge #203 for the sketch, Make It Monday #27 which was to make your own striped ribbon with Copics and old CC39 to use Elegant Eggplant, Close To Cocoa and Chocolate Chip. I used 2 different shades of purple for my striped ribbon and made this virtually perfect bow, cut the bit in the middle to wrap round the back, pulled the bow tight and it all fell apart - no idea what happened there, so had to do a makeshift bow instead!

Recipe:

Stamps: Signature Greetings, Year of Flowers Collection both from PTI

Papers: Elegant Eggplant cs and DSP from Regals Pack, Chocolate Chip, Spiced Cider DSP (retired) all from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Chocolate Chip from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Fancy Flower Border Punch from EK Success, Circle Nestabilities, White Grosgrain Ribbon from Anita's

And my last flowery card is for Just Magnolia's Challenge #118 Anything Goes, Mojo Monday Challenge #198 which I missed and old CC61 to use Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery, Basic Black and Apricot Appeal. A very strange combo if I may say so, but it kind of works! I thought this gingham ribbon kind of looked like the veil on Tilda's hat so used that, although it is a bit wider than I wanted, but the only other gingham ribbon I have was too narrow!

Recipe:

Stamps: Tilda with Hat from Magnolia, Just The Ticket from PTI

Papers: Apricot Appeal cs and DSP from hostess pack (both retired), Basic Black, Spring Fling DSP (retired), Pink Flamingo DSP (retired) all from SU, Copics White

Inks: Apricot Appeal (retired), Cameo Coral (retired), Basic Black all from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Gingham Ribbon from stash, Beautiful Blooms Dies #2 from PTI, Apricot Appeal Brads (retired) from SU

Phew and that all for today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

  9. Look at all these cards and challenges! You have been busy. ;) THe Baby Blossoms paper you've created for our challenge is so cute, so right-on with the colors from the inspiration. In fact, at first, I thought it was *another* DP from SU, from a few years ago, whose name escapes me. Bella something? Anyway, fab job! Thanks for playing with us at The PLay Date CAfe!
