Tilda and Butterflies

Just a couple more cards that I made today...

This first one is for Totally Tilda's Challenge # 29 Fit For A Princess which had to include Princess Tilda or the word princess or a crown. Well I was totally stumped as I didn't have Princess Tilda or a crown stamp that I could use or the word princess anywhere I could find, so what did I do?! I went shopping hehe! My lovely new Princess Tilda (along with Skateboard Tilda, Ballerina Tilda, 3 packs of 6 x 6 patterned papers and some Card Candi) was delivered yesterday, so I got straight onto this challenge this morning! I used old Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #96 for the layout and the colours from Color Throwdown's Challenge #156 to use So Saffron, Perfect Plum and Crumb Cake.

Recipe:

Stamps: Princess Tilda from Magnolia

Papers: So Saffron, Crumb Cake, Perfect Plum all from Stampin' Up, Copics White, Echo Park Springtime Patterned Paper pack (not one of my new ones)

Inks: Crumb Cake, Perfect Plum both  from Stampin' Up, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Doily from eBay, Fairytale Ribbons (retired) from Stampin' Up, Sentiment panel from old preprinted sheet found in my stash, Big rose from Magnolia, Small yellow and purple roses from eBay

And my next card is for Make It Monday's Challenge #29 to use freestyle copic colouring, old CC52G to use Lavender Lace, Taken With Teal, Almost Amethyst, Pumpkin Pie and Bravo Burgundy (not my fave combo ever I must say but it turned out ok on this one I think!) and old Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #29 and I'm going to enter this one in to A Passion for Papertrey's Anything Goes Challenge as well.  I have to say I find colouring out of the lines really hard to do as I like everything to be neat so I came up with the idea of multicoloured butterflies and thought I would randomly colour over a piece of card and stamp the butterflies on top. This is what my coloured sheet looked like before I stamped the butterflies on it. Just random squiggles of Copics all over.

And this is the card in the end. Quite a plain card for me really but I wanted the coloured background to be the main focus. You can't tell in the picture but the Taken With Teal layer is popped up on dimensionals to give that little bit of extra depth to it.

Recipe:

Stamps: Butterfly Dreams from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Almost Amethyst, Taken With Teal both retired from Stampin' Up, Copics White

Inks: Basic Black from Stampin' Up, Copics

Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, Icicle Stickles

And that's all from me today folks! Get ready for the VSN over on SCS this weekend as well.

  1. Oh what a fab way to use the idea of colouring outside the lines! My OCD won't let me do it, but your frames make me think it'd definitely do-able! :)

What a great idea. The first thing that caught my eye was the bright colors. Clicked on it and it was amazing. Thanks for sharing your ideas
