Managed to squeeze some crafting time in today after sorting out my crafting stuff on my new Ikea unit. It's still not exactly the way I want it, but I have to keep using it to see what works and what doesn't in terms of where I've stored things. (And I have way too much stuff to fit on it all and could really do with another one in the same size - I bought the 4x4 Expedit cube unit!)
Anyway on to the cards...My first card is for Viva La Verve's Sketch #2 for September and for Color Throwdown's Challenge #158 to use Island Indigo (all my new in colors arrived the other day and they are lovely! Can't wait to get my hands on the new ribbon as well though!), Peach Parfait, Basic Gray and light gray. An odd combo but the colours work so well together!
Recipe:
Stamps: Dream Big, Fancy Florals Remixed both from Verve Stamps
Papers: Island Indigo, Going Gray (retired), Very Vanilla, Peach Parfait DSP from hostess pack, Nouveau Chic DSP (retired) all from Stampin' Up
Inks: Island Indigo, Basic Gray both from Stampin' Up
Accessories: Peach Parfait Ribbon, Large and Small Tag Punches all from Stampin' Up, Circle Nestabilities, orange Zest Button from Papertrey Ink
My next orange card is for Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #146, Stampin' Royalty's Challenge #88 to use Concord Crush, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Certainly Celery and for Free For All Challenge #81 to use paper piecing. I decided to paper piece my flowers in 2 different patterned papers for each colour and I love how they came out.
Recipe:
Stamps: Growing Green from Stampin' Up
Papers: Certainly Celery cs & DSP (retired), Concord Crush cs & DSP from hostess pack, Whisper White, Haiku DSP (retired), Sunny Garden DSP all from Stampin' Up
Inks: Basic Black from Stampin' Up
Accessories: Scallop Trim Border Punch, Certainly Celery Ribbon both from Stampin' Up, Gems from eBay
And my next one is for SC349 for the sketch, Make It Monday's Challenge #31 to use non-background stamps to make a background, Shabby Tea Room's Challenge #78 to make a pink wedding card and A Passion For Papertrey's Challenge Design Team Inspiration, which was to be inspired by a card from the PTI DT. An easy one really as there's so much to be inspired by. I chose this card by Nichole from last month's release. I just love how stunning the black and white stamping look on a bright coloured piece of cs.
Recipe:
Stamps: Turning A New Leaf, Botanical Silhouettes, Wonderful Words Additions, Friendship Jar Spring Fillers all from Papertrey Ink
Papers: Confetti White, Basic Black both from Stampin' Up, Raspberry Fizz from Papertrey Ink
Inks: Basic Black, Whisper White both from Stampin' Up
Accessories: Wonderful Words Die from Papertrey Ink, Eyelet Border Punch from Stampin' Up
And my last card for today is for Just Magnolia's Sketch Challenge #23, Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #181 to use something you find in an office (I hope my mini bulldog clip counts!), Colour Create's Challenge #77 to use pink, brown, cream and white and for Friday Mash Up's Challenge #23 to use stitching and or a back to school/teacher's gift. I just went with the stitching today as I'm already shattered from the first week back at school and still have a huge ton of work to do! And I haven't taught a full week yet! LMAO
Recipe:
Stamps: Tilda with Daffodil from Magnolia, Signature Series: Dress Form from Papertrey Ink
Papers: Pretty in Pink, Early Espresso both from Stampin' Up, Copics White, Girly Polka Dots Papers from Wild Rose Studio
Inks: Early Espresso ink and marker from Stampin' Up, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Corner Rounding Punch (that has now broken and doesn't punch all the way round the corners! GRRRR!!!), Lace from Cuddly Buddly, Flowers Embossing Folder, Tag from Martha Stewart, Brown flowers from Hero Arts (I think), Roses from Hobbycraft, Early Espresso Ribbon, Mini Bulldog Clip both from Stampin' Up
And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!
