Splashes of Red

Just a few cards I made today, all of which had red on, just by sheer coincidence!

This first card is for Papertrey Princess Ren-Yi's challenge Ink Up and Oldie but a Goodie in which you had to use an old PTI stamp set. I picked out one of my first sets I bought from PTI, Little Lady. I so wanted a ladybird set and this one was perfect! This one is also for Mojo Monday Sketch #216. I tried out my new pearl pen for this one as well and the pearls come out really well, when I don't splodge them! Think I need a bit more practice with it.

My next card is another Papertrey Princess challenge. This time is was for BethieJ's Birthday card challenge and I used the colours from Color Throwdown's Challenge #169 to use Taken With Teal, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze and Real Red. Had to add a bit of green for my grass and flower stems though, but I do love these colours together!

And my final card for today is a bit of a special one I guess. One of the TAs at my school is very ill with a brain tumour and cancer of liver and is currently undergoing lots of treatment. We didn't want to send a get well card, so I made this A4 sized thinking of you card, so she knows she's in our thoughts. I used Just Magnolia's Challenge #134 to use red, pink and white.

And that's all the cards for today folks! Now I can't tell you precisely what my exciting news is today, but here's a little sneak peek...

Make sure you come back here on Friday to find out all about it!

Thanks for stopping by!
