Thank Yous

Just a couple of thank you cards I made this weekend...

This first one is for Friday MashUp's Challenge #75 to use the back to school theme and/or sewing. I'm already back at school so missed that bit out (and am shattered already LOL. It's the having to get up at 6:15 every morning and doing a full day's work again!) and just went with the sewing and boy did I pick the wrong thing to sew! Although I love how it came out, this single card took SO long to do! I'm not a machinist, so it was all done by hand and I don't think I'll be doing it again in a hurry LOL. This card is also for A Passion for Papertrey's Thank You Challenge and  ColourQ's Challenge #153 to use these gorgeous colours.

And here's my card.

And my next card actually uses the same sentiment, completely by accident and is for Viva La Verve's Sketch #2 for September, Papertake Weekly's Challenge Anything Goes and Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #223 Autumn Gold.  I did make one card for these challenges using different colours - typical Autumn ones of green, orange and yellow but really disliked how it came out, so re-did it and used these sheets of patterned papers in goldy tones instead and much prefer it.

And that's all for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. That's a lot of sewing. I would have given up on it. It turned out great though so all that work was worth it. Thanks for joining us at the ColourQ this week.
