A Couple of CAS cards

I very rarely do CAS cards - I like my layers and embellishments too much, but I made a couple of CAS-ish cards today, only really because I didn't have a great deal of crafting time as we went to the East Midlands Food and Drink festival in Melton Mowbray today and I didn't start crafting until about 4pm! (Bought lots of yummy food though so I don't mind missing out on some crafting time!)

My first card is for Hope You Can Cling To Challenge #1C to make a mostly grey card with a pop of colour, so I used Just Add Ink's challenge #138 using the colours below and SUO#55 to add some texture. I embossed my DSP and love how it slightly break the top layer of the paper giving it a slight distressed look.

And here's my card.

My next card is also for a Hope You Can Cling To Challenge, #6 this time to use 3 or more die cuts (I used 5 different ones) and a sentiment, SC405 for the sketch and Friday MashUp's Challenge #79 to use Pacific Point, Gumball Green, Lucky Limeade, Marina Mist and rectangles.

If you haven't done already, you need to check out all the challenges for the Hope You Can Cling To card drive that Splitcoast Stampers do every year to raise money for the Anderson Cancer Center in Texas. I always send a huge box of cards over for this very good cause and one very close to my heart (My aunt has just had a lump removed and so far so good. They managed to get all the cancerous cells out and her lymph glands are clear too!)

Anyway here's my card.

And that's all for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!
