Problems with pinks!

For some reason today's card making session just didn't go as well as usual and everything seemed to take twice as long and I made so many mistakes and so many things kept going wrong! But anyway here's a couple of pink cards I made today.

This first one is for Make It Monday's Challenge #91 to make a faux pocket, Papertake Weekly's Challenge to use flowers and Play Date Café's Challenge #158 to use these colours. I had major problems with this card at first. Mainly because the shade of green I originally picked just didn't work when it was all put together. The individual parts were fine, but together there was just too much green and the patterns didn't it well, so I basically scrapped the whole thing and started again and much prefer this second attempt.

And here's my card.

My next card is for Viva La Verve's Sketch #1 for November. I don't do baby cards unless I have to and I was asked by a friend at work to make one for her cousin and I came up with this little cutie, using just one of the bunnies from Bunny Duet. The ribbon was the problem on this one. I had stuck it all down on to the smaller panel and stuck that onto the patterned paper BEFORE trimming the ribbon tails and then the ribbon tails wouldn't cut into the V shape properly and I kept cutting one end shorter and shorter until there was virtually nothing left so I had to quickly peel everything off and try again! Obviously wasn't my day to use pink today!

And that's all for this post folks! Thanks for dropping by.

  3. When I first saw your card, I thought it was a mix of patterned paper. Your stamping is so awesome! I love all the damask. The second card is super cute--love that bear! Thanks for playing along with us at The Play Date Cafe!
