Blue Christmas?

I made a few Christmas cards today for some colour challenges and they all had blue in. I don't tend to use blue very often, but I really like how all 3 of these cards look - all so very different as well.

This first card is for Viva La Verve's Sketch #1 for December and for Create with Connie and Mary's Challenge #228 to use these colours. I actually don't have any silver glimmer card from SU as I have a huge stash of non-SU glitter card and therefore have no need to buy any more, but to stick with the challenge rules for using SU only stuff, I made some. I inked up the edges of some Whisper White cardstock with Versamark, added some heat and stick powder and finally some retired silver glitter. I totally love this idea and will definitely be doing this a lot more to make sparkly cardstock (shame my carpet is now totally covered in silver glitter too, even after vacuuming for ages!)

And here's my card.

My next card is for A Passion for Papertrey's Christmas Challenge, Friday MashUp's Challenge #87 to be inspired by the photo below and Make It Monday's Challenge #93 to split your die cuts. I cut the Framed Out #2 Die up to create brackets to frame my sentiment. I opted for a white Christmas tree and although it doesn't stand out very well in the photo, it is popped up on dimensionals and looks more effective in real life.

And here's my card.

My final card for today is for Marvellous Magnolia's Challenge #5 to make a monochromatic card and for Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #245 to use snowflakes. I bought this new Edwin stamp a few weeks ago but hadn't inked him up - ideal opportunity I think!

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by.
