Playing with some Pinwheels

We're making kites at school tomorrow as part of our India day to end our topic this half term (There's a huge kite festival every year in January in Gujarat, so we're going to host our own in school, along with some Indian Bhagra style dancing, cooking and eating some delicious Indian food - samosas, chapattis, aloo tikka and vegetable pakoras - and finishing the day with drawing some rangoli patterns on the playground with chalks! We're all dressing up in saris as well so it's going to a fabulous day!) Anyway....because of the kite making I felt like adding something that moved in the wind and came across my pinwheels set so used those for this card! (Although I probably should have dug out my kites from Up, Up and Away and used those, but I thought pinwheels were just too fun!)

This card is for Mojo Monday Challenge #278 for the sketch and Play Date Café's Challenge #167 to use these pretty colours which I interpreted as Rich Razzleberry, Certainly Celery and So Saffron.

And here's my card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Dot Spot from Papertrey Ink, Circular Sayings from Verve Stamps, Playful Pinwheels from Waltzing Mouse Stamps

Papers: Rich Razzleberry, Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Certainly Celery Prints Stack (Retired), So Saffron Prints Stack (Retired) all from SU

Inks: Rich Razzleberry, Certainly Celery, So Saffron all from SU

Accessories: Rich Razzleberry 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (Retired), Circle Nestabilities, Medium Scallop Border Die from PTI, Brads from Papermania

And that's all for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!
