Rose Faerie Marci

I attempted to make a La-La Land card in the style of Alyce Keegan today. I absolutely love her card making style and I know I have nowhere near as much talent as that lady has. She just wows me with every card she makes. This card started off using the same layout as one of Alyce's cards, but then went off on a little bit of my own tangent! Love this style - kind of vintagey with lots of layers so will definitely be trying it again!

This card is for La-La Land's Challenge to use more than 1 die (I'm not sure if they had to be La-La Land dies, but I didn't use any, but I did use 4 different dies, just other companies!) and for the La-La Land competition #18 on their Facebook page to use something new. I used some new cheesecloth (used this in a cardmaking class last month and just had to buy some, but hadn't used any until now), 2 new dies and some new papers that I bought last week on a crafting trip and my new Rose Faerie Marci digi stamp that I bought a few weeks ago, but again hadn't used her. This is also for Papertake Weekly's Challenge Anything Goes with a bit of vintage. I think my colours, doily and cheesecloth add to the vintage-ness!

And here she is...

Recipe:

Stamps: Rose Faerie Marci digi stamp from La-La Land Crafts, Embellishments, Mendhi Medallion both from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Regal Rose (Retired), Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla all from Stampin' Up, Hazel "Mother" Meadow Paper, Lost & Found Blush "Sweet" Eiffel Tower Paper both from My Mind's Eye, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

Inks: Copic Markers

Accessories: Circle and Lacey Circle Nestabilities, Cheesecloth and Ribbon both from The Ribbon Girl, Pearls, Pink Foam Rose both from Hobbycraft, Paper Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, Heart Swirl Die from Magnolia, Flourish #2 Die from Joy Crafts, Paper Doily from eBay

And finally that's all from me today folks! Major blogging going on today as I never got round to doing yesterday cards yesterday. I had an evening of playing WoW instead and by the time we finished it was 11pm and I was too tired to blog then! Anyway, thanks for stopping by!
