Lily The Pink

It's another friend of mine's 50th birthday next week (on the same day as my friend Kim and my friend's husband Simon - still need to make his card!) so I made an A5 sized card as there are quite a few of us who need to sign it and a little one just wouldn't do for a 50th birthday!

This one is for In The Pink's Challenge #32 to use stitching faux or real (I just did faux as I don't know where my OH has actually moved my sewing machine to! Shows how long it's been since I last used it!), The Ribbon Girl's Lovely Lili Challenge for November to add sparkle, Totally Gorjuss' Challenge #210 to use 3 different patterned papers and for Crafty Little Fairies Challenge Top of the Pops - to be inspired by a song.

I got Lily the Pink (from the fact that my card is pink and uses a Lili of the Valley image) stuck in my head. I actually didn't know who sang it so had to google it and apparently it's a band called The Scaffold and Paul McCartney's brother was in it! Here's the video for those of you who don't know the song :)

And after all that here's my card...

Recipe:

Stamps: Teddy with Bouquet from Lili of the Valley, Make A Wish, Make A Wish Additions both from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Pretty in Pink (Retired), Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Subtles DSP (Retired), Mocha Morning DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

Inks: Pretty in Pink (Retired) from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers, Memento Tuxedo Black

Accessories: Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon (Retired), Rhinestones both from Stampin' Up, Sizzix Alphabet (No idea of its name though it's that old!), Fancy Ovals from Spellbinders, Filigree Corner Die, Heart Banner Die both from La-La Land Crafts, Decorative Tags Die LR0154, Anja's Vintage Decoration Die LR0269 both from Marianne Craftables, Doo-Hickey Vintage Box Lacing Chocolate Border Die from Magnolia, Icicle Stickles

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!
