In The Pink Challenge #64 For A Special Lady

Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for the In The Pink Challenge #64. This fortnight we are challenging you to make something for a special lady, which can also include mother's day as well if you wish. Our only rule is that you must use pink and the more the better!

I was very lucky last weekend and attended Tracy Payne's Distress Inks workshop over near Woburn, about an hour away from me and I thought I would use the card we made as my DT card this week. You may have already seen Tracy's beautiful card and mine is not nearly as beautiful! This was my first time ever at colouring/painting with Distress Inks and while it didn't quite come out as it was supposed to, I will be giving it another go, once I invest in the sets of Distress Ink markers.

And here she is...Her skin came out way too dark - I think being a Copic colourer I was trying to do my Copic colouring too much with the paintbrush and inks!

This card is also for
Noor Design UK's Sketch Challenge #1 (this is the sketch Tracy used in the workshop)

Recipe:

Stamps: Bowie from Saturated Canary, English Text for the Banners from Joy Crafts

Papers: White and Pink from Tracy, Watercolor card, Patterned papers ?

Inks: Distress Inks in Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Broken China, Black Soot and ? for the t-shirt (can't remember!)

Accessories: Ribbon and Lace from Live & Love Crafts, White Gesso, Dutch Doobadoo Flower with 4 Petals, Flower Circle with Corner Die, Vintage Flourish Leaf, Butterflies Border, Butterflies (2 pcs), Banners (2pcs), Round No. 2, Flourish Border Die, Rolled Roses 1, Rolled Roses 2, Softwood Bricks & Softwood Roof Tiles all from Joy Crafts/ Noor Design (all from Tracy too).

I had a fabulous time at the workshop and will definitely be going back for more. I bought absolutely heaps of  stuff too - 3 new paper pads, some gesso, a pot of structure paste, 2 stencils, a stamp set and LOTS of dies. I spent my month's crafting budget all in one day! Argh! But I'm going to have lots of fun playing with it all this weekend!

Anyway don't forget to pop on over to the In The Pink Challenge blog and check out all the other gorgeous cards from the DT and why not join in the fun whilst you're there too.
