When finished it will look something like this....
You will need some cardstock, patterned papers, a mermaid digi (I used the gorgeous Beautiful Little Mermaid for my project), some sea life themed dies, acetate sheet, fish bowl template, glitter card and a sentiment stamp, along with your favourite colouring card and medium. (I do change my mind about what I am using as I make this card, so not all of the items in the photo were used and I added extras too!)
Start off by drawing round the fish bowl template, scoring the lines in the centre as well.
Draw round the 3rd sized layer on what will be the front side of your card and cut out with a craft knife.
Draw round the second layer in a different colour cardstock for the inside.
Draw round the third layer again but this time on to patterned paper (I used the Under The Sea Paper Bloc from Joy Crafts).
Then cut out all your die cuts and a wavy piece of glitter card for the sand. I did end up cutting out more than I did here as I wanted to embellish the outside of the bowl once I had put it all together.
Colour in your mermaid digi and cut out right up against the outline. I used Copics and the colours are listed below.
Add a piece of acetate to the front of your card with double sided tape. Add the cardstock and patterned paper layers and die cuts inside and attach your mermaid using 3D foam tape. Add further die cuts to the outside if you want as well. I closed the card using a piece of ribbon and punched two holes through both the front and back using a Crop-a-Dile.
When open your card will look like this!
Hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial and have a go at making one of these fish bowl cards!
