Faery Ink New Release Destiny in Oz as Elphaba, Witch of the West

Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for the new release from Faery Ink. If you have been following these releases, you will know that Amanda has been releasing a Destiny in Oz collection with one new image each month. This month is the final image, Elphaba, Witch of the West. I have absolutely loved this collection - The Wizard of Oz is one of my fave childhood films.

Here is my version of Elphaba in the same style as all my others. Even as a wicked witch of the West, she looks adorable! Love that cute winged monkey on her shoulder too! (My camera was playing up a bit when I took this photo and didn't realise it was slightly blurry until after I have finished the whole canvas, so please excuse the photo!)

Here is the whole collection....

And here is is how I started my end project. I painted an A3 sized canvas with a mixture of baby blue and pearlescent ice blue acrylic paints and dabbed some fluffy clouds using white acrylic paint on top.

I drew a rainbow freehand on some scrap paper (and surprisingly it was a decent shape!) and then cut out each stripe to draw round on the different coloured card, inking the edges of each in the matching colours. I then attached these together with double sided tape first before gluing them to my canvas.

I added my images and then a sentiment cut with a die cut alphabet out of Basic Black card. I love this and it is now hanging over my bedroom door, so I see it every time I leave the room. Makes me smile every time!

And this canvas is also for
