Something Else on Saturday #19 Featuring More End of Year Cards

Good morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post. Today I have a couple more end of school year cards to share with you that I made for the other two teachers in my year group.

This first one was for Ellie and she just loved this card using Rosie and Bernie in Hawaii. I also used the flowers from my Newton's Nook Aloha set that I shared last week and my beloved Palm Tree Dies. I wish I had bought the palm tree stamp to go with this image though as the size of these dies isn't quite right for the stamp.

Faery Ink Inspiration Post - Heart of the Sea Mermaid

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for Faery Ink. I used the gorgeous Heart of The Sea Mermaid for this one and kept it fairly simple for a change.

I used my waves stencil and various Distress Oxide Inks to make the waves background and then fussy cut my mermaid to add to the top. A few drops of Crystal and Glitter Drops and a pre-printed sentiment finished it all off nicely.

I was undecided about what to do with her hair so did a multi-coloured combo in similar colours to her top, tail and fins and love this effect. Not sure if you can see, but I also added some Clear Sparkle pen to the heart and her tail for a touch of glitter.

Beautiful Bride

I have gotten so behind in sharing my cards on here and on my Facebook page! No excuse really other than work has been really busy with it being the end of year - loads more paperwork at the end of the school year - and my laptop power pack blew up, literally with sparks all over, so it was out of action for a few days until I could get a new one delivered. I tell you these are not cheap - almost £100 for one from Dell! Luckily the other one was only 2 months old, so I will get a refund on that one.

Anyway here is a card I made for the Cute As A Button June Progressive Challenge (yep it's that late!), but I never got round to posting it in time for the challenge. My TA is getting married this summer (and is leaving as her husband to be has got a new job in Reading), so I made her this huge card for everyone to sign. It certainly was a labour of love and with the box, it took me 5 hours in total! So much trial and error for the size of the card and box, but it did come out pretty in the end!

And here's the lid - a lot plainer than the actual card, but I had run out of steam by the time I got to this part!

This card is for

Something Else on Saturday #18 Featuring Wryn's Glasses from Tiddly Inks

Good morning and welcome to my post for this week's Something Else on Saturday feature! I am really enjoying doing these posts at the minute as I am using loads of different stamps, both rubber and digi, that I haven't used before! A great way to make sure I do actually use them!

This week I went a bit nautical and coloured Wryn's Glasses form Tiddly Inks in a blue and white sailor dress. I used my Seashore patterned papers and sentiment stamps, but I just couldn't find any embellishments at all in my stash. Nautical is not a theme I usually do, so I doubt I have any anywhere anyway!

Faery Ink inspiration Post

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration post for Faery Ink for today. This time I have used the gorgeous Dance of the Butterflies from the Pretty Girls with Wings and Things Vol 2 Colouring Book. I have a thing at the minute for orange, which is so not like me at all, but I love this combo of orange and black together.

Good morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday! Today I have used the adorable Priscilla from LeAnn's world 101 which I chose as part of my winning prize for a challenge blog ages ago. Scrapper's Delights New Release Chibi Graffiti Bill

Good evening and welcome to my post for the new releases from Scrapper's Delights. I am using the fun Graffiti Bill and the wall background. I added the Happy Birthday sentiment to the wall, so it would look like he had just sprayed it!

As it is quite a large image, I kept the rest of the card pretty simple and just added a touch of ribbon in the corner as I didn't have any dark blue baker's twine, which would have worked better I think.
