All the cards on this post are made using some of my new stamps. I got loads of new ones this week, all by coincidence. I had a Stampin' Up delivery, a Papertrey Ink one, a few new Sugar Nellie stamps and then I bought one from my local stamp store too!
My first card uses Framed With Love from the UK mini catalogue. It's got loads of different frame stamps and one really pretty damask type design stamp. I used one of the frames for my sentiment on my pocket card for this week's Just Us Girls Technique Challenge.
And this is a photo with the insert out - I kept it quite simple as I wasn't sure what sentiment to put on it, so left it blank until I need it. I've never used this sheet from the Tall Tales DSP pack before either and it is actually really pretty.
Recipe:
Stamps: Framed With Love, Fresh Cuts
Papers: Brilliant Blue, Rose Red, Whisper White, Tall Tales DSP
Inks: Brilliant Blue, Rose Red
Accessories: So Saffron Striped Grosgrain ribbon, Rose Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Round Tab Punch
My next new stamp set is I {Heart} Hearts, which I didn't think I'd like at all, until I used this same flourished heart at Monica's training day a couple of weekends ago. I virtually replicated the card we made, with a few changes for the challenges I'm entering. The sketch comes from Sketch 'n' Color's #10, the colour combo comes from Color Throwdown's #91 to use Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise and Kiwi Kiss and for SCS Free For All #11 to use gel pens, although my use is not especially inventive!!!
Recipe:
Stamps: I {Heart} Hearts
Papers: Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red cs & DSP, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White
Inks: Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss, White Gel Pen
Accessories: Tempting Turquoise Grosgrain Ribbon, Playground Buttons, Doily Lace Martha Stewart Punch
And my final new set is a special one! It's the 3rd year Anniversary set from Papertrey Ink called Round and Round. You have to order at least 14 sets from February 2009 to February 2010 to qualify for it and when my order arrived the other day I was confused as to why I had an extra set until I looked more closely at what it was! Boy was I excited as I wasn't sure if I had qualified for one or not.
This card is for Papertake Weekly's Sketch #40 and A Passion For Papertrey's Friends challenge.
Recipe:
Stamps: Round and Round Anniversary set from PTI
Papers: Plum Pudding, Lavender Moon, Stampers Select White, Dotty Biscotti DSP all from Papertrey Ink
Inks: Plum Pudding, New Leaf
Accessories: Plum Pudding Buttons, Purple adhesive pearls from Papermania
That's all my new stamps for today, but my next post will be showing some old ones if you fancy taking a peek!
