Inspiring Inkin' Challenges #26 - A Theme Challenge

This fortnight's challenge over on my SU team's challenge blog, Inspiring Inkin' Challenges, is a theme challenge - Buttons, Bows and Butterflies. We are to use one, two or all three on a project with a side twist of using a stamp set from the new mini catalogue.

Here's my little card. It's a 5 inch square card using the new Fine Flourish stamp in the centre with the butterfly from Flight of a Butterfly on top. This card is also for Splitcoast Stampers SC278 and CC144 to use Certainly Celery, Rose Red and Pumpkin Pie.

I wanted some Pumpkin Pie buttons for the corners and as SU don't make buttons in that colour, I decided to make my own using the 1/2" circle punch. I punched 4 cardstock circles and 1 patterned paper circle, glued them all together, pierced some holes in each one and then covered them with Crystal Effects for a glossy look. Instant buttons!

Recipe:

Stamps: Fine Flourish, Flight of the Butterfly

Paper: Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie cs & DSP, Rose Red DSP, Vellum Cardstock

Inks: Rose Red

Accessories: Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon, Butterfly Punch, Paper Piercer, 1/2" circle punch
