Papertrey Posse Challenges cards

I found the Papertrey Posse challenge blog a while ago through the PTI forum and did the first blog hop challenge ages ago here and then completely forgot about checking back for some more, and low and behold they also do petite challenges during the month as well, so I've gone back through them to catch up and these are all of them so far I think including today's one! Be warned this is a very long post, but I wanted them to all be together!

So in Challenge order... For Petite Challenge #1 you had to use Summer Sunrise, Terracotta Tile and Enchanted Evening. Now at the time of making this card I only had Summer Sunrise DSP out of the 3 colours so had to substitute them with SU colours instead. (I do now have Summer Sunrise and Enchanted Evening cardstock and buttons - just need to get some ribbons and ink when the new inks come out!) This card also uses Mojo #12 for the layout.

Recipe:

Stamps: On My Couch Additions

Papers: Night of Navy cs & DSP, Dusty Durango all from SU, Stamper's Select White from PTI, 2008 Bitty Dots Basics

Inks: Night of Navy, Dusty Durango, Summer Sun all from SU

Accessories: None!

Petite Posse Challenge #2 was called Fabulous Folds and you had to make a card using folding in a different way from the usual fold a card base in half! I chose to make a middle step card - I love the little scenes you can create with this type of card. I also used CC145 to use Wild Wasabi, Elegant Eggplant and So Saffron.

Recipe:

Stamps: Wishing You, Big & Bold Wishes

Papers: Wild Wasabi, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White

Inks: Wild Wasabi, Elegant Eggplant, So Saffron

Accessories: None!

Blog Hop Challenge #2 was to use Ocean Tides, Aqua Mist, Melon Berry and Dark Chocolate. I don't have Melon Berry so I used Groovy Guava and I used Chocolate Chip instead of Dark Chocolate as well.

Recipe:

Stamps: Take Three: Summer

Papers: Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides, Stamper's Select White all from PTI, Groovy Guava, Chocolate Chip both from SU, 2008 Bitty Dot Basics DSP

Inks: Ocean Tides, Aqua Mist both from PTI, Groovy Guava from SU

Accessories: Groovy Guava ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch, Labels 1 Nestabilities

Petite Posse Challenge #3 was called Back to the Beginning - you have to say where your love of PTI began and what your first stamp set was and then to use it. I discovered PTI as with most other stamp companies on SCS about 2 years ago or so. I fell in love with a card using the Women of Life set, so I bought that along with Piece of Cake and Little Lady, some Berry Sorbet and Aqua Mist cs, ink and ribbon. Unfortunately that first purchase started a long addiction to PTI and I now have a nice collection of stamps, ribbon, buttons, inks, felt, impressions plates and dies building up! I love the style of their stamps - they do both solid and outline stamps so if I feel like colouring in then I can and if I don't I don't have to! Their DT is just to die for - the samples they make are just amazing! And to think they are only 3 years old as well - they really have come so far in such a short space of time!

Anyway back to the card! I used Little Lady on this one and combined it with Mojo #1 and CC138 to use Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron and Real Red.

Recipe:

Stamps: Little Lady, Polka Dot Basics both from PTI

Papers: Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black, So Saffron, Real Red DSP, Very Vanilla

Inks: Real Red, So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black

Accessories: Button from stash, Red ribbon from stash, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder

Petite Posse Challenge #4 was to use the photo of a wedding cake as inspiration for a card. I also used Mojo #43 for the layout and am entering it for Just Us Girls Challenge #44 to make a wedding card as well.

Recipe:

Stamps: Piece of Cake

Papers: Barely Banana, Chocolate Chip cs & DSP, Naturals Ivory, Kraft all from SU, 2008 Bitty Dot Basics DSP from PTI

Inks: Very Vanilla, Bashful Blue from SU

Accessories: Oval Nestabilities, Rick Rack die from PTI, Pearls from stash

Petite Posse Challenge #5 was a sketch challenge this time. This card is also for Stampin' Royalty's #30 Keep It Simple, Sister (KISS) challenge, A Passion for Papertrey's Forever Friends Challenge and for Papertrey Peeps #1 to use buttons.

Recipe:

Stamps: In Bloom

Papers: Lavender Moon, Plum Pudding, Dotty Biscotti DSP, Stampers Select White all from PTI

Inks: Plum Pudding, Copics

Accessories: Buttons from stash, Embroidery thread

Petite Posse Challenge #6 is to use patterned paper. I just got the Basic Gray Lemonade pack of papers and it is absolutely gorgeous, although I hadn't used it until today! This card uses Just Us Girls challenge #45 for the sketch and I'm entering this one for A Passion for Papertrey's Forever Friends challenge too!

Recipe:

Stamps: All Booked Up from PTI

Papers: Bermuda Bay, Cameo Coral, Whisper White all from SU, Basic Gray Lemonade pack

Inks: Bermuda Bay, Cameo Coral

Accessories: MS Doily Lace Punch, Bermuda Bay polka dot ribbon, Oval Nestabilities, Book Plate die from PTI

And that's all of the Papertrey Posse challenges done now except for the August blog hop one which I will post on the 15th!
