Val's PTI day

There are a group of us over on the In Love With Stampin forum who have all confessed to being Papertrey Ink addicts (oops meant to say fans!) and one of the lovely ladies, Val, invited us all to her house yesterday for a fantastic PTI day. We were all to bring a shoe box swap for each of us to do and some card candy to swap as well. There were 8 of us altogether at Val's house and 2 more ladies who couldn't make it who were doing the shoebox swaps at home.

Val had made us all a beautiful goodie bag...

And this is what was inside - a covered notebook, bookmark, some covered Hotel Chocolat slabs, some felt die cuts, some ribbons and the cutest little paint pot tin filled to the brim with buttons. I forgot to put in the photo the Fillable Frames #6 set and die she also put in the bag for us. Boy were we spoiled!

After much chatting with old friends and new, we finally made a start an hour and a half after we were meant to get started on our shoebox swaps. I have photographed the projects with the card candy from the same person as well.

This is Dawn's card candy and shoe box swap. Unfortunately Dawn couldn't be with us but her project was a fun one to make.

This is Karin's shoebox swap and card candy. Karin is the lovely lady who started the In Love With Stamping forum with her husband Dave and made the most gorgeous Canadian sweet treats for us to all try as well.

This is Linda's card candy and shoebox swap, and boy did we have a lot of die cutting to do. Like me, Linda likes her layers LOL!

This is Linzi's card candy and shoebox swap. Linzi is just so funny - I love her! I did put the eyelets in the wrong place on the box so it doesn't quite close properly but the bag itself is so cute I think I might buy the template and do another one!

This is Rachel's card candy and shoebox swap. Now Rachel is slightly different to the rest of us - she doesn't actually OWN any PTI stamps - shock horror! But I think yesterday convinced her that she definitely NEEDS some! LOL

This is Sharon's card candy and shoebox swap. Sharon also couldn't make it yesterday, but I love her felt card candy flowers. The colours are just fab!

This is Sue's card candy and shoebox swap. Inside the cute little box are lots of the Friendship Jar die cuts. Sue also handmade each of us a pretty felt flower brooch too. I have no idea how she managed to sew so beautifully. If I had tried, it would have looked like my friend's 2 year old daughter had done them LOL

This is Val's shoebox swap and card candy. This box was a bit tricky to make so I left it til last and didn't get it finished on the day so did it this morning. I love this template and will definitely be buying this one.

And this is mine.

We had such a fantastic day crafting til our hearts content. Val's 2 little girls were adorable, lunch was delicious and it was great meeting up with friends from a forum that live miles away! I can't wait for the next one!
