I managed to do a few more thank you cards today so I think I finally have enough for giving out to people for my Christmas presents. I did do some for the children in my class who gave me pressies too but they were very basic simple ones, so I haven't taken a photo of those ones.
My first card is for SC311 and In Love With Stampin's December colour challenge to use Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Old Olive.
Recipe:
Stamps: Just Believe from SU
Papers: Old Olive, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Very Vanilla, Dashing DSP (retired) all from SU
Inks: SU markers in Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive
Accessories: Real Red Taffeta ribbon, Victorian Fleur Embossing Folder from Papermania
My next thank you is for Mojo #171 and Free For All #41 to be inspired by The Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky. I absolutely love the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy from this classical composition, although I have yet to see the ballet version!
Recipe:
Stamps: Fairy Chloe from The Greeting Farm, Signature Christmas from PTI
Papers: Pale Plum (retired) from SU, Copics White, Silver paper found in my Christmas stash box, DSP from Papermania
Inks: Pale Plum (retired) from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Diamond Stickles, Ribbon from stash
My next 3 cards are all PTI ones. I am finding that I'm turning to PTI stamps more and more now and it's no wonder really as they are just fab! This one is for SC313 and for Anya's Papertrey Princess challenge to be inspired by the photo on her blog. I took the colours green, turquoise and kraft from it and created this one.
Recipe:
Stamps: Spiral Bouquet, Guide Lines II both from PTI
Papers: Kraft, Hawaiian Shores, Stampers Select White, New Leaf DSP from 2009 Bitty Dot Basics all from PTI
Inks: New Leaf, Hawaiian Shores both from PTI, Crumb Cake from SU
Accessories: White rickrack from American Crafts, Pearls from eBay
My next one is for In Love With Stamping's Single Layer card challenge for December as well as Anya's papertrey Princess 1 layer card challenge and for A Passion For Papertrey's Background Basics challenge (although I could enter all 3 of my PTI cards for this challenge). I really find single layer cards hard as I always want to add more but I do quite like this one and it was dead quick to make as well. I used the Mat Stack #4 die to create a mask as well as a reverse mask so I knew where to put the sentiment. It did look a bit plain afterwards mind you, which I why I went round the mask in Basic Gray marker to emphasise it a bit more!
Recipe:
Stamps: Big & Bold Wishes, Damask Designs from PTI
Papers: Stampers Select White from PTI
Inks: Lavender Moon, Plum Pudding both from PTI, Basic Gray ink & marker from SU
Accessories: Mat Stack #4 die, Plum Pudding ribbon, Lavender Moon Buttons all from PTI
And my final card for today is an unusual one for me I think. I wasn't overly keen on the sketch to start with (which is from In Love With Stamping's December challenges), but I think it's bright and happy enough to give out. This one is also for Papertake Weekly's Be Thankful challenge (although all of these cards are for this challenge really) and for CC50 to use Cameo Coral, Tempting Turquoise and Apricot Appeal.
Recipe:
Stamps: Polka Dot Basics II from PTI, Curly Cute from SU
Papers: Cameo Coral, Apricot Appeal (both retired), Whisper White all from SU
Inks: Cameo Coral, Apricot Appeal (both retired), Tempting Turquoise all from SU
Accessories: Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon (retired), 1 3/8" circle punch, Scallop circle punch all from SU
And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!
