Sharing on a Sunday

I managed to pull myself together and make a few cards today. I've had the most awful cough and cold for almost 2 weeks now and now the excitement of Christmas has been and gone, my body is slowly giving in to the cold symptoms! Don't think I've ever drunk so much lemon tea before!

Anyways...on to my first card which is for Free For All #45 to celebrate your new year's resolutions. I always make them, stick to them for a couple of weeks and then forget about them. Let's see how I do this year with these ones. My main non-crafting one is to read more. I got a Kindle for Christmas and have downloaded about 40 books already. I want to try and read at least 1 book a week and more during the holidays. My crafting resolutions include to try out the vintage style more often, which I think I've done with this one and to use up more of my patterned papers, which I used some of here. I opened my new Kaisercraft Rose Collection pack and it really is a stunning pack, which I will definitely use quite often! The dots on the green pieces are flocked and the pink has clear embossed swirls over the top - just gorgeous! The sketch is from Viva La Verve January #1 as well.

Recipe:

Stamps: All Booked Up from PTI

Papers: Blushing Bride, Mellow Moss (retired), Very Vanilla all from SU, Rose Collection pack from Kaisercraft

Inks: Creamy Caramel, Mellow Moss (both retired) from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Mellow Moss buttons (retired) from SU, Lace from Cuddly Buddly, Mat Stack 2 die, Limited Layers 1 3/4" Circles Collection dies from PTI, Brads from Papermania, beautiful Wings Embosslits from Sizzix

My next one is for CC303 to use Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy and Old Olive, Just Us Girls #65 for the sketch, Just Add Ink's #49 to just add summer (I think these bright yellow flowers have a summery feel to them, don't you?!) and for Michele's Papertrey Princess Challenge to colour in an image.

Recipe:

Stamps: Friends Til The End from PTI

Papers: Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy, Old Olive,Whisper White, Petals & Paisley DSP (retired) all from SU

Inks: Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight both from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Daffodil Delight ribbon both from SU, Diamond Stickles

My final card for today took me absolutely ages! No idea why it took so long but I seemed to take forever making it! This one is for Sweet Sunday sketch #98, Totally Tilda's #13 to use ribbon and roses (I don't have any blue roses in the right shade so I subbed them with whatever flowers the Boho Punch makes!), Our Creative Corner's Thank You challenge with a twist to use blue, cream (I had to use white as I used my Copics cardstock and that only comes in white, sorry girls!), metal and vellum (my little flowers are made of vellum inked up with Blue Bayou ink) and for Just Magnolia's #87 Anything Goes challenge. I tried to find a space to put a thank you message on the front, but it didn't look right anywhere so I have stamped a thank you inside instead.

Recipe:

Stamps: Spring Tree, Romantic Tilda with Parasol both from Magnolia

Papers: Bordering Blue, Blue Bayou (both retired) from SU, Copics White, Magnolia Something Blue DSP

Inks: Blue Bayou (retired) from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, Large Scallop Border die from PTI, Blue Bayou ribbon (retired), Boho Blossoms punch both from SU, Diamond Stickles, Mini brads from stash

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!
