I'm back!

I didn't have any time last weekend or even during the week to do any challenges as I had some goody boxes to make up for our PTI Play Day this weekend and they took a lot longer than I thought they would! I will be doing a post for them later on, so be sure to come back and have a looksie!

My first card of today is for my dear friend Michelle's 40th birthday on Monday. She's going to kill me putting the number 40 on it LOL! This one is for Taylored Expression Sketch Challenge #142, Free For All Challenge #73 to use twine, Color Throwdown's Challenge #150 to use Certainly Celery, Taken With Teal, Rose Red and Pretty in Pink, Make It Monday's Challenge #22 to use reinkers to make a multi-coloured ink pad (I'm actually very late for this one, but still wanted to do it) and Papertrey Princess BethieJ's Birthday card challenge!

Recipe:

Stamps: Banner Builder, Mehndi Medallion, Birthday Bash Sentiments all from PTI

Papers: Certainly Celery, Taken With Teal, Pretty in Pink all from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Certainly Celery, Taken With Teal, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink all from SU

Accessories: Banner Builder Die Collection, By The Numbers Dies (Cut by my lovely friend Val) both from PTI, Cotton Candy Baker's Twine from The Ribbon Reel, Gems from eBay, Frosted Lace Stickles

My next one is for this week's Make It Monday Challenge #23 which was to use the edgers dies to make a pocket. However, I don't have any of the edgers dies (although they are on my wishlist!) so I had to use a border die instead. I thought I would add a little bookmark to my pocket to go with the book I'm giving my friend as an end of year pressie. This one is also for SC340 for the sketch, A Passion For Papertrey's Sweet, Sweet, Summertime Challenge, Paper Pal Arts Summertime and the Living Is Easy Challenge, Free For All Challenge #72 to be inspired by a summertime activity and finally Colour Create's Challenge #75 to use cream, aqua and pale pink. You might have guessed it already, but this summer I'm going to be spending a lot of my time reading! I have set myself a HUGE challenge of reading 52 books from the beginning of June to the end of September and so far I have only read 12!!! (I keep track of what I have read using Goodreads.com - fab book website. Go check it out!)

Recipe:

Stamps: All Booked Up, Fancy Flourishes both from PTI

Papers: Sweet Blush, Aqua Mist, Pretty Pastels Patterned Paper all from PTI, Very Vanilla from SU, My Mind's Eye Stella Rose Hazel DSP

Inks: Versamark, Soft Sky (retired), Blushing Bride all from SU

Accessories: Bookmark Die, Medium Scallops Border Die, Limited Layers Circles Die, Sweet Blush Ribbon, Aqua Mist Buttons all from PTI, Embroidery Thread from stash

My next card is for SC341, Papertake Weekly's Hot Hot Hot Challenge to use hot colours, Play Date Cafe's Challenge #90 to use Eggplant, Fuschia and Orangesicle (no idea what orangesicle is so I went with peach instead :P) and for Papertrey Princess Diane's Challenge to use the flower outline stamps without colouring them in! (I did use the same stamps as Diane without realising it - must have been the influence of her fab card!) This is the colour swatch for Play Date Cafe:

And here's my take on these colours:

Recipe:

Stamps: Friends Til The End, Mega Mixed Messages both from PTI

Papers: Pink Passion (retired), Peach Parfait cs & DSP from hostess set, Elegant Eggplant DSP from Regals Pack all from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Pink Passion (retired), Peach Parfait Elegant Eggplant all from SU

Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch from SU, Card Candy from Craftworks Cards, Swirls Embossing Folder from Crafts Too

And my final card for today is for Mojo Monday Challenge #199 for the sketch, Cute Card Thursday Challenge #173 to use circles and Just Add Ink #76 to be inspired by the given photo. I chose the colours from the photo.

Recipe:

Stamps: Year of Flowers Collection, Inside & Out: Thank You both from PTI

Papers: Berry Sorbet, New Leaf, Stampers Select White all from PTI, Echo Park Springtime DSP, My Mind's Eye Pretty Please Spring Papers (freebie pack with magazine)

Inks: Berry Sorbet from PTI, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Medium Scallop Die from PTI, Blue ribbon from Stash, Pearls from Papermania, Circle Nestabilities

And that's all from me today folks. Hopefully I will get some time tomorrow to upload my photos of all our PTI day goodies and projects! Thanks for stopping by!
