Square Cards

Just a simple trio of square cards for you today...

This first one is for Make It Monday's Challenge #21 to use the polaroid 2-step masking technique, which I've never done before but it really simple, yet so effective. I also used the sketch from Mojo Challenge #197 and the colours from Colour Create's Challenge #74 to use fuchsia, green and white. I'm never quite sure what kind of colour fuchsia is - is it pink? is it purple? I went for a pink after looking at fuchsia flowers on the net! This is for Paper Pal Arts Challenge #100 as well to use your favourite technique. This one actually uses 2 of mine - dry embossing and 2 step stamping. I love the depth and texture that 2 step stamping brings!

Recipe:

Stamps: Background Basics: Botanicals, Spiral Bouquet, Inside & Out: Thank You all from PTI

Papers: Hibiscus Burst, Spring Moss, Stampers Select White all from PTI

Inks: Kiwi Kiss, River Rock, Rich Razzleberry all from SU, Hibiscus Burst from PTI

Accessories: Hibiscus Burst ribbon and buttons, Grid Lines Impressions Plate all from PTI, White button from Elzybells

My next one is for Viva La Verve's Sketch #1 for July, CC329 to use Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Melon Mambo and Free For All Challenge #71 which was to use a funny holiday/event in July as inspiration. I chose to use Strawberries in honour of National Strawberry Sundae Day which is celebrated on July 7th!

Recipe:

Stamps: Fruit Fusion: Berry from PTI

Papers: Melon Mambo cs & DSP (retired), Crumb Cake, Elegant Soiree DSP all from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI

And my final square card for today is for Papertake Weekly's Sketch #57, Just Magnolia's Challenge #113 Anything Goes and Magnolia-licious' Inspiration Challenge #8. I took the colours, stripes and flowers from the inspiration photo, but was desperate to use this sentiment, so added a rainbow. Love the way it turned out though.

Recipe:

Stamps: Beautiful Tilda, Rainbow, Rainbow Thank You all from Magnolia

Papers: Regal Rose, Always Artichoke both from SU, Copics White, DSP from Kaisercraft

Inks: Regal Rose from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Roses from Hobbycraft

And that's all my squares cards for today folks! Thanks for stopping by!
