Challenge K was to include rolled flowers on your card or altered project, so I pulled out my Marianne Creatables Die for this one. I used Cupcake Crafts Challenge #182 to use red and yellow (would never have put these together myself, but I love how they look!) and The Greeting Farm Sketch #7 for this one as well. I love the contrast between the funky, hip image of my new Friday stamp and the cute little rolled flowers in the corner!

Challenge L was to make a get well card ...to cure the Spring Fever, of course. I also used SUO Challenge #40 to use lots of green. You can't really see the sentiment very well in the photo but it is there in the bottom left corner - think I might stamp over it again to make it stand out a bit more. Looked ok when I first did it, but now it's completely dry it seems to have faded into the paper a bit.

Challenge M was to create a card (or non-card) with a 3D curly element. I cut some thin strips of cardstock, wound them round my paper piercer and added them to my flower as leafy type things! I actually really like the look of this one. I used A Passion For Papertrey's Challenge to use black, white and a pop of colour as well, although mine has pops of 2 colours, but I think I can get away with it! You can't really see in the photo either, but the top half white bit is impressed with the medallion impression plate and looks lovely IRL - just a little bit of added texture!

ReplyDeleteThese are all wonderful, but the last one is a real stunner! The contrast of the pink and black and the detail of the dots of the flower center and your curly leaves are FANTASTIC! I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteI really like your butterfly card! That is one of my favorite stamp sets because of those wonderful butterfly! Like the overall clean, uncluttered look of this card. Thanks for playing along with the SUO challenge!
ReplyDeleteI love to play along with VSN too, but I didn't have a change this time around. Love the butterflies on the swirly flower! Thanks for joining SUO Challenges this week.
