Hmmmm not so sure

I made these 2 cards today but I'm not so sure about them. There's just something on each of them that doesn't sit right with me. To be honest I think I have had card making overload today and these just didn't work. I'm still going to submit them to the challenges they were made for in case I don't get to redo them before the deadlines! At least I know I tried then.

This first one is for Waltzing Mouse's Sketch Challenge #108 and I used my new Teeny Trees to make some little sweets on the tag. I think this one is just a bit too busy. The patterned papers, whilst gorgeous, detract from the tag too much I think.

My next card I think is just too blah! This one is for Just Add Ink's Challenge #128 to use their inspiration photo and I think I took too many ideas from it, mostly too many colours. I do like the sketch though, a nice and simple one from Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #169.

And that's all for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

  12. Definitely being too hard on yourself. When we get a bunch of flowers it usually has lots of various types and colours so those that are in your jar are just great using the inspiration photo at Just Add Ink as your inspiration! Thanks for playing along again this week.

  18. It's good to see that someone else criticises their own stuff as much as I criticise mine! I think you're way too hard on yourself - I love the way you've totally thought out of the box and used your teeny trees set. The sweets look fantastic and I think the colours on your other card are lovely together
