Mostly White Papertrey

Just a couple of mostly white cards I made this weekend. As you all know I don't do CAS cards very often nor very well, so these were both a struggle for me as I wanted to add more - more colour, more layers, more embellies, just more, more, more, but I do really like how they both came out even if they are not my usual style!

This first card is not one I especially enjoyed making because of the reason, but fitting all the same. Aimes, who runs the A Passion for Papertrey blog with Kate and Caryn has had some sad news recently so this card goes out to her! Sending Aimes lots of big hugs! This card is for A Passion for Papertrey's black and white challenge, Papertake Weekly's Challenge to use a bow and Viva La Verve's Sketch #5 for January. Not sure if you can see on the photo but I impressed the card front as well so it has a lovely soft texture to it.

Recipe:

Stamps: Over Under Easy, Think Big Favorites #3 both from PTI
Paper: Stampers Select White from PTI
Ink: Basic Black from SU
Accessories: Basic Black Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (Retired) from SU, Damask Designs Impression Plate from PTI

My next card is for Just Add Ink's Challenge #150 for the sketch and Play Date CafĂ©'s Challenge #166 to use these gorgeous colours. I thought I would go with a little blackboard style using some of my new PTI stamps!

And here's my card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Signature Greetings, Over Under Easy both from PTI
Paper: Glorious Green (Retired), Basic Black, Whisper White all from SU
Ink: Versamark, Whisper White both from SU
Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder both from SU, Labels 23 Nestabilities, Candy Ribbon Border Die from Memory Box

And that's all for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by.

I did a chalkboard technique for the black and white challenge - what a fun technique, isn't it?

  5. Aw, Aimes will adore the CAS style of this card Vanessa, it's just a shame there was even the need for such a card (they're always the hardest kind to make aren't they?

Thanks for joining us at APFP.
