Bright Butterflies

This week's Color Throwdown Challenge #253 was a very bright one and a bit daunting for me as I didn't have a clue what to do with it initially. I decided to use Mojo Monday's Sketch Challenge #304 and was going to use flowers, but then realised I wouldn't get many in the circle, so opted for butterflies instead, using my Modern Basics set, which I haven't used in a LONG while! By the time I had finished this card, I found I had added enough embellishments for A Passion for Papertrey's challenge to use three different ones - I used die cuts, ribbon and glitter domes.

And here's my card - it's growing on me, but is not a colour combo I would choose myself. Guess that's why it's a challenge :P

Recipe:

Stamps: Modern Basics from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Pumpkin Pie, Smoky Slate, Summer Sun (Retired), Whisper White, Brights DSP Stack (Retired) all from Stampin' Up

Inks: Pumpkin Pie, Smoky Slate, Summer Sun (Retired), Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black all from Stampin' Up

Accessories: XL Rick Rack Die from Papertrey Ink, Circle Nestabilites, Nellie's Flower Dies, Ribbon from stash, Glitter Domes from Papermania

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by.
