Springtime Shadow Box

This fortnight's challenge over on My Besties UK is to Try Something New. I downloaded this 3D framed box for my Silhouette Portrait when I got it a couple of days before Christmas but hadn't used it. I have never made a shadow box before so now seemed as good a time as any. I used many different die cuts (are they called that?) using my Portrait as well as some metal dies to decorate the box.

Here's the box just standing up in my light tent! I absolutely love how this came out and think I'm going to make one for each season to decorate my craft room when we move!

And here it is hanging up - not sure you can really see the shadow effect as well in the photo than in real life, but my Besties girl is sitting on the outside of the box as are two of the pink cherry blossoms whilst the other is popped up on the inside. The tree is popped up and so are the birds, but the hill and clouds are not.
