The Grey Witch

I thought I would join in the Faery Ink Facebook Group Challenge again this month and this was definitely a challenge for me. We have to use grey scale with a pop of colour. I have never done this before, so I hope I have the right idea. I used an image that I knew this technique would work on - a witch and then coloured her, including the skin, using various shades of grey, only adding in a touch of purple on her hat ribbon and some streaks in her hair.

I actually love hos this one came out, although I'm not sure what other images I would feel comfortable using this technique with as it worked so well for a witch image. I didn't want to go for a traditional Hallowe'en card as such and found this fabulous sentiment in a Stampin' Up set that I bought last year and used once! Another good reason to give up my demonstratorship I think, not using the stamps I have actually bought!

Anyway here she is...
