New core colours and new in colours

I'm very lucky in that I have someone in the States who is able to send me Stampin Up stuff from time to time and yesterday through my door came a nice box of goodies including the new core colours and new in colours, which will be available in our catalogue from October, but I was desperate for them before then so asked if I could have some. I have to say at the minute I have mixed feelings about some of these colours, but that's probably because I haven't used them a lot and haven't seen a wide range of colour combos using them. I'm sure in time I'll love them all!

The new core colours will be Marina Mist (mid blue colour), Cherry Cobbler (darkish rich red), Cajun Craze (dark orangey terracotta), Daffodil Delight (pretty yellow), Crumb Cake (which is Kraft with a different name) and Early Espresso (dark brown).

The new in colours will be Peach Parfait (peach!), Pear Pizzazz (light green), Blushing Bride (pale pink), Concord Crush (dark bluey-purple) and Poppy Parade (orangey red).

Here's just a few cards using the last 4 colour combos from SCS that I missed. Unfortunately I only have the cardstock for the new colours and not the inks as yet, but it won't be long before they will be available over here though.

This first one is for CC279 to use Wild Wasabi, Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist. I also used Mojo #151 for the layout. You can't really see in the photo but the Marina Mist layer is embossed with one of my new Sizzix/SU Texturz plates as well. I need to work out how to make these embossed layers stand out a bit more.

Recipe:

Stamps: Everyday Button Bits from PTI

Papers: Cherry Cobbler, Wild Wasabi cs & DSP, Marina Mist, Whisper White

Inks: Wild Wasabi

Accessories: Texturz Plates Backgrounds #1, Boho Blossoms Punch, Three For You Punch, White Opal Liquid Pearls, Ribbon from stash, Scallop Trim Border Punch

Up next is my entry for CC281 to use Concord Crush, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz. I love this combo!!! I also used old Mojo #9 for the layout.

Recipe:

Stamps: All About You Additions and Fancy Flourishes both from PTI

Papers: Concord Crush, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Copic White

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics, Crushed Curry

Accessories: Sunshine Impression Plate from PTI, Purple ribbon from stash, Circle Nestabilities, Diamond Stickles

My next card is for CC282 to use Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red and Early Espresso - I absolutely adore this combo and is my fave of these ones so far! I also used old Mojo #22 for the layout. I also used one of my new stamp sets for this one as well - this set is just so pretty.

Recipe:

Stamps: Great Friend

Papers: Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla

Inks: Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette

Accessories: Ribbon from stash, Texturz Background Plates #1

And my last card using some of the new colours is for CC283 to use Poppy Parade, Crumb Cake (aka Kraft) and Baja Breeze. I also used Mojo #66 for the layout. At the minute I'm not a particular fan of Poppy Parade - reds are not usually a colour I go for anyway but this one is an orangey red and I'm not over keen. That said I'll find a combo I like with it and soon change my mind LOL

To make the ink as close to Poppy Parade as I could I inked up my sentiment first in Real Red then in Pumpkin Pie and it turned out fairly close don't you think?

Recipe:

Stamps: Upsy Daisy

Papers: Kraft, Poppy Parade, Baja Breeze cs & DSP, Bella Bleu DSP

Inks: Baja Breeze, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie

Accessories: Ribbon from stash, Baby Blue Stickles, Red pearls from Papermania

I have to be very frugal with this cardstock now as I only got 4 sheets of each colour in both packs so will have to spread it quite thinly!
