VSN Saturday's Challenges F - J

I managed to do 10 of the challenges from Saturday's VSN - I only missed out challenge N as I just didn't have the energy to do any more! These are the cards I did for challenges A - E.

Right on to the cards!

Challenge F was to use water in some way on a card, but a water image didn't count. I used my very little used watercolor crayons from SU. I haven't used these much, but only because I much prefer the sharper colours you get from Copics! However they worked well for the softness needed on this image! I also used Mojo #15 and CC32 to use Always Artichoke, Creamy Caramel and Regal Rose for this card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Daisy Chain Teddy from Elzybells

Papers: Always Artichoke, Creamy Caramel, Whisper White, Sweet Always DSP

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Watercolor Crayons

Accessories: Brads from stash, Caramel ribbon from Taylored Expressions, 1" circle punch, Daisy Pattern Cuttlebug Embossing Folder

Challenge G was to make a card with a seashell on it or something that has a shell. My stamp collection unfortunately doesn't include any seashells - not my kind of thing. I do have 3 turtle stamps though and picked this one from the Lily At the Beach set for this one. I also used Mojo #16 and CC27 to use Handsome Hunter, Taken With Teal and Green Galore.

Recipe:

Stamps: Lily At The Beach from Pink Cat Studio

Papers: Green Galore, Handsome Hunter, Sweet Pea DSP, Copic White

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Green ribbon from stash

Challenge H was to use the colours in the given poem which were amber and purple as the main colours with small amounts of white and a neutral. I also used Mojo #20 for the layout for this one. I did go over the time limit by 10 mins with this one - probably because of all the cutting out I did!

Recipe:

Stamps: Butterfly Dreams from PTI

Papers: More Mustard, Basic Black, Stampers Select White, Bride DSP

Inks: Elegant Eggplant ink & marker, More Mustard marker, Basic Black

Accessories: D'Vine Swirls Embossing Folder, Elegant Eggplant grosgrain ribbon, Frosted Lace Stickles

Challenge I was to use anything farm related on a card. I've had this piggy pyramid stamp for ages but have never used it as I didn't really know what I would use it for. I bought it because it was cute but didn't think about the when! I also used CC65 to use Bravo Burgundy, Always Artichoke and Pretty in Pink.

Recipe:

Stamps: Piggy Pyramid from Dimension Fourth, Everyday Button Bits from PTI

Papers: Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy, Copics White, Pretty in Pink DSP from hostes pack (retired)

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics, Bravo Burgundy

Accessories: Always Artichoke grosgrain ribbon

Challenge J was to follow the given list to spell the word Brave:
B is "Blue"
R is "Ribbon"

A is "Accent" with something sparkly

V is "Vellum"

E is "Embossing" (heat embossing or by using folders/templates,etc.)

I also used Mojo #14 and CC128 to use Soft Sky and Groovy Guava. This one is my fave of all the challenge cards I've done this weekend. To make the background paper I embossed the impression plate onto the vellum paper and then using a tissue inked it on the reverse in Groovy Guava before layering it onto a piece of Soft Sky. I love how it looks like it has been coloured in 2 colours!

Recipe:

Stamps: In Bloom, Mega Mixed Messages both from PTI

Papers: Soft Sky, Groovy Guava, Vellum Paper, Stampers Select White

Inks: Groovy Guava, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Blue glitter brads, Groovy Guava ribbon, SOft Sky ribbon, In Bloom Impression Plate

And that's all for these challenges folks! Come back and check out the last 5 challenges I did too!
