Today is Papertrey Ink's Blog Hop for this month and I have never had the chance to enter in one of these before - I usually miss the deadline as I get the blog update a day late! But I was checking out Nichole's blog this morning and saw it and jumped straight on to the challenge.
This month's challenge is: One of the most fun things about this hobby is the people you meet, whether in person or online, and the things you learn from them. Now is your chance to show off any skills you might have learned from a fellow stamper, and perhaps even give them a little shout out to thank them for the inspiration they have provided.
I have learnt so much from the PTI girls since becoming addicted to their stamps a couple of years ago after seeing some beautiful cards on SCS, so I guess my inspiration comes from all of them! I must send out a huge thank you to them all for all their amazing creations each month. A lot of my PTI cards start off being inspired by one of the PTI's DT cards and then I add my own extra bits to it - I like that I can say I almost made a proper PTI card!
Today's card is completely and utterly inspired by this beautiful yellow Embelllishments card created by Debbie Olson. I needed a special 40th Birthday card for a work colleague, who isn't really looking forward to turning 40! I knew I wanted to use my Embellishments set as it is just so beautiful and elegant and matches Emma's style perfectly. The colours I used just add that special bit of elegance as well as all the extra pearls. I know she's going to love it!
I thought I'd also enter this into A Passion for Papertrey's Square card challenge, although strictly speaking it's an easel card, but it's still a square one!
Recipe:
Stamps: Embellishments, Signature Greetings
Papers: Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Inks: Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Accessories: Labels 4 Nestabilities, Kraft (Crumb Cake) Tafetta ribbon, SU Pretties Kit
I had lots of fun doing this blog hop today - just hope I can do it more often!
