My other challenge cards from the weekend!

My first card for this collection of challenges is for Stacey's Curtain Call #23 to use Pretty in Pink, Kraft, White and Black and for Crazy For Challenges #30 - the sketch. I loved the white damask pattern on the kraft wallpaper in Stacey's inspiration photo so used that as my starting point.

Recipe:

Stamps: Damask Designs from PTI, A Rose Is A Rose, Well Scripted (my new fave sentiment set!)

Papers: Pretty in Pink, Basic Black, Kraft, Whisper White

Inks: Basic Black, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose

Accessories: Frosted Lace Stickles, Scallop Trim Border Punch from the US SAB catalogue! It's gorgeous and I so hope we get it over here too.

My next card is for SCS' SC272 and CC262 to use Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry and Orchid Opulence - a great colour combo for which I can use my new Cottage Wall DSP!! This paper pack is just divine - the patterns are beautiful and the colours are so rich and pretty!

Recipe:

Stamps: Well Scripted, Baroque Motifs

Papers: Orchid Opulence, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Cottage Wall DSP

Inks: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, White Gel Pen

Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon, Old Olive button, purple embroidery thread

My next card is for SCS SC273 and for Farm Fresh Friday's color challenge to use Red, Blue and Yellow! I don't do boy's cards very often and these colours are just perfect for one, so I dug out my faithful Skater Ian and made this.... (I must buy some other boy stamps from the Greeting Farm especially now my local craft shop is stocking them!)

Recipe:

Stamps: Skater Ian from The Greeting Farm, Signature Greetings from PTI

Papers: So Saffron, Riding Hood Red, Bashful Blue, Junior Varsity DSP (retired, but perfect for boys cards)

Inks: Riding Hood Red, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Ciaos

Accessories: Labels One Nestabilities, Paper Piercing Tool and Mat, Card Candy from Craftwork Cards

Up next is a card for Mojo131 and Color Throwdown #85 to use Baja Breeze, Garden Green, Certainly Celery and cream, but I messed up and used white by mistake!

Recipe:

Stamps: Petals and Stems from Verve, Oval All, Polka Dot Background stamp

Papers: Garden Green, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze, Whisper White

Inks: Garden Green, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze

Accessories: Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, Small oval punch, Scallop oval punch

My next card is for Mercy's Sketch #66 and for the Stamp With Us colour challenge. I hardly ever use orange on cards othan than Hallowe'en ones but I actually like the orange and pink combo here. That velvet ribbon was the last bit I had and I had just enough to do the bow and add an inch or so on both sides of the image, which was probably a good thing as it's very thick ribbon and would have made the card too bulky.

Recipe:

Stamps: Garden Whimsy, Hello Again

Papers: Only Orange, Pink Passion, Whisper White, Kaleidoscope DSP

Inks: Only Orange, Pink Passion, Green Galore markers

Accessories: Orange velvet ribbon from stash

My next challenge is the template challenge from Just Us Girls #26 and I used a butterfly box template from Papermania that I found hidden amongst some random DSP that I was looking through when trying to find some papers for the Farm Fresh Friday challenge. I completely forgot that I had even bought it, let alone used it! I'm not overly happy with this one - there's something I don't like about the butterfly on the top. It looked funny left blank and doesn't look right with the (poorly drawn) swirls and pearls either. I'm going to try another one at some point and maybe stamp on the butterfly BEFORE I stick it all together and decide I don't like it!

Recipe:

Stamps: None

Papers: Orchid Opulence, Cottage Wall DSP (OMG how pretty are these papers?!)

Inks: Old Olive marker

Accessories: Papermania Butterfly Box template, Old Olive twill

My next card is one I completely forgot to upload when I did it last week. I blame Ofsted for their intrusion on my work and home life balance LOL This one is for Mercy's Sketch #65 and Color Throwdown's #84 to use Taken With Teal, Black, Soft Sky and Tangerine Tango! I didn't think I'd like this one so much but I do when there's just a splash of orange.

Recipe:

Stamps: Vintage Vogue

Papers: Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Whisper White, Bali Breeze DSP, Soft Sky DSP (which I didn't realise I even had!)

Inks: Tangerine Tango, Soft Sky, Taken With Teal

Accessories: Circle Nestabilities

My next two cards are for the March challenges over on the In Love With Stamping forum. The first is the colour challenge in which we were only allowed to use neutral colours. I chose Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel and Very Vanilla. It is also for SCS Free For All #2 to make a free standing pop up card. Even though I only did one of these a few weeks ago I still had to use the instructions here - try one they are SO easy to do!

Recipe:

Stamps: Bags, Boxes and Tags and Signature Greetings both from PTI

Papers: Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Very Vanilla

Inks: Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Very Vanilla craft ink

Accessories: Chocolate Chip satin ribbon (coming to a catalogue near you very soon!), Very Vanilla Taffeta ribbon

And my final card for today is for the Inspiration challenge from the March challenges. It's also for SCS Free For All #3 - I want the fairytale, which instantly reminded me of weddings so this card qualifies for that challenge too. The bizarre colour combo comes from the inspiration photo and even though I wouldn't normally use it for a wedding card, I kinda like it! I used the sketch from Taylored Expressions #105 as well.

Recipe:

Stamps: Happy Moments, Well Scripted (don't you just love that font?!), Forever Flowers wheel

Papers: Apricot Appeal, Orchid Opulence, Whisper White

Inks: Basic Black, Green Galore,  SU Markers in Orchid Opulence, Green Galore, Apricot Appeal, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black

Accessories: Lilac ribbon from Dovecraft

So that's all folks.....I'll be back later on in the week no doubt with a few more challenges done! I love having holidays where I can craft til my heart's content!

A Few Easter Cards

My mother-in-law always requests a few Easter cards to send to my brothers and sisters in law, so I used the opportunity to catch up on some challenges this weekend.

My first card is for the March sketch challenge over on the In Love With Stamping forum - a UK based forum, similar to SCS and predominantly a SU demos forum. This card also uses some papers from the new gorgeous Sweet Pea stack which is available to buy on April 1st. I think I'm going to have to get another pack of it so I don't run out!

Recipe:

Stamps: A Good Egg

Papers: Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, So Saffron, Whisper White, Sweet Pea Designer Series Stack

Inks: Basic Black, SU Pastels

Accessories: Labels 10 Nestabilities, Old Olive twill

My next Easter card is for A Passion for Papertrey's Easter/Spring challenge. I don't have any PTI Easter stamps so I used the birdies from the Everday Button Bits set instead, but they look a little "empty" on that white square. I think I'll go and add some grass and flowers or something to it. This card is also for Papertake's Weekly Sketch Challenge #37 and SCS' CC60 to use Close To Cocoa, So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Bordering Blue.

Recipe:

Stamps: Everyday Button Bits and Sign Language from PTI

Papers: Close To Cocoa, Bordering Blue, Whisper White, Certainly Celery DSP, So Saffron DSP

Inks: Close To Cocoa, Bordering Blue

Accessories: Crystal Effects (on the DSP "buttons")

My third card is for Our Creative Corner's Sketch #8, Colour Q's #25 to use Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip and White and for Charisma Cardz #12 to make a Spring card. This little bunny stamp is so cute and is actually called Spring Bunny so was a perfect excuse to use it here.

Recipe:

Stamps: Spring Bunny from Lili of the Valley, Sign Language from PTI

Papers: Chocolate Chip, Barely Banana, Certainly Celery, Non SU white cs

Inks: Tuxedo Memento Black, Copic Ciaos

Accessories: Petite Oval Nestabilities, Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon

My final Easter card was a more difficult request from my MIL. Her best friend is an avid cat lover so she always gets cards with cats on, however I had to try and make a cat Easter card with no Easter cat stamps!! So I went for some pretty spring colours instead. Hope she likes it! This card also used the sketch from Our Creative Corner as well.

Recipe:

Stamps: Peek-A-Boo from Rachelle Anne Miller, A Good Egg

Papers: Orchid Opulence, Pretty in Pink, DSP from TaDa Creative Studio

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Ciaos

Accessories: Pretty in Pink Taffeta ribbon, Scallop Trim Border Punch from the US SAB catalogue! It's gorgeous and I so hope we get it over here too.

Well that's all my Easter cards for now, unless my MIL wants some more! I'll be doing another post with my other challenges on as well, so be sure to come back and check those out as well.

Mini Catalogue Blog Hop Tour!

Hello and welcome to another fantastic In Love With Stamping blog hop for the new Stampin' Up Mini Catalogue which is going to be released in just 4 days on April 1st!!! We know that you are just going to LOVE it. There are so many gorgeous new stamp sets in there as well as some fab papers and accessories.

For those of you who have joined me from Caz's fantastic blog , a big warm welcome to my little corner of the blogging world! Weren't her projects just wonderful?! I have a few little cards to show you today using some of the new goodies from the mini catalogue too.

First up is a cute little card with almost no stamping on at all. It uses the fab and huge pack of Sweet Pea Designer Series papers - these are wonderful and come in such gorgeous designs and colour combos. At only £19.50 for 48 sheets they truely are a fab collection for any Stampin' Up fan! They coordinate with the Trendy Trees stamp set as well as 2 new sets, which unfortunately I don't have as yet but will be getting very soon! This card uses the new sketch from Taylored Expressions as well - great layout for showing off these fab papers, don't ya think?!

Recipe:

Stamps: Thank You Kindly

Papers: Taken With Teal, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Sweet Pea Designer Stack

Inks: Taken With Teal

Accessories: Sweet Pea Stitched Felt Flowers

My next card shows you a really cute little tag and matching punch set. Did I say new punch? There are 3 new punches in the mini catalogue and they come in a new sleek design as well that closes away flat and can also be stored standing up on their ends. There are 17 tiny stamps in this stamp set with a range of sentiments including thanks so much, mr & mrs, hello, baby and many many more. It's perfect for just adding a little greeting to a project. This card was one of my swaps for the Stampin' Up training event at Reading last Saturday. The inspiration came from the many many birdhouse type cards I keep seeing everywhere, but I wanted to make mine move, so the first picture shows the bird down and hidden mostly.

And the next one shows the bird popped up! Cute huh?

Recipe:

Stamps: Tiny Tags, Sanded background stamp, Best Wishes & More

Papers: Ruby Red, Close To Cocoa, Whisper White

Inks: Ruby Red, Taken With Teal

Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Linen Thread, Medium Jewelry Punch

My next two cards use a new set that I know is going to be one of my favourite stamp sets and will be used very often!!! The design of this set is just so pretty and delicate. The first one is an easel card that we made at the Reading training day last weekend. How beautiful are those flowers? And that floral, swirly vine is to die for!

Recipe:

Stamps: Vintage Vogue

Papers: Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Whisper White

Inks: Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron

Accessories: 1" Circle Punch, Silver Brad

My last card uses the same gorgeous stamp set with some other current ones and they go together beautifully.  This card also uses the sketch from Sketch 'n' Color #4, the colour combo from Just Add Ink's #10 to use Close To Cocoa, Blush Blossom, Kraft and Cameo Coral and Stampin' Royalty's #12 to use glitter. After seeing some gorgeous glittered papers this weekend I decide to make my own using the Versamark technique with heat 'n' stick powder and Dazzlin' Diamonds! It is so much more glittery in real life though!

Recipe:

Stamps: Vintage Vogue, Bella Toile background stamp, Oval All

Papers: Close To Cocoa, Cameo Coral, Kraft, Blush Blossom, Whisper White

Inks: Close To Cocoa, Blush Blossom, Cameo Coral

Accessories: Scallop Oval Punch, Oval Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Heat 'n' stick powder, Dazzlin' Diamonds, Kraft Tafetta ribbon, Flat Backed Pearl from the Pretties Kit.

Apologies for not having any more to show you, but we have had Ofsted in school this week so it's been a little manic! (We did get an outstanding though so it was all worth it!)

Next on the blog hop tour is Deborah so please be sure to hop on over and have a look at her gorgeous creations too. I can't wait to check out all the other blogs in the hop. There are 3 tours going on in total, so lots of fantabulous (love that word!) projects to inspire you and me alike! The second round starts with Bekka and the third one starts with Carol.

Hope you have enjoy your blog hop tour!

Inspiring Inkin' Challenge #23 - A Theme Challenge

This fortnight our challenge on Inspiring Inkin' Challenges is to make an Easter card or gift or both if you want! The side twist is to use flowers of some sort, whether stamps, felt fusion, pretties kit, rub ons, paper punched ones or any others you can think of!

Here's my entry which is also for SCS Free For All #4 to use Perfect Plum, Barely Banana and Certainly Celery and a basket and for Charisma Cardz #11 - something for the kids. Although I have made these for my partner teacher and 3 TAs, they would also make great Easter egg baskets for children as well.

The photo shows both sides of the baskets. One side has the chick on and the other has the sentiment. I made 4 of these in total and they took hardly any time at all. I just need to go and buy some mini eggs now to fill them with!

Recipe:

Stamps: It's Beautiful wheel, Occasional Greetings, A Good Egg

Papers: Perfect Plum, Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, Whisper White

Inks: Basic Black, Perfect Plum ink, wheel cartridge and marker, Barely Banana ink and marker, Apricot Appeal marker

Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch

Make sure you leave us a link on the Inspiring Inkin' blog to your Easter project so we can come and be nosy! :P

Only a few challenges done today...

I didn't have my usual cardmaking day yesterday as I went to the Stampin' Up training event down in Reading and didn't get back until 8:40pm and I certainly didn't have the energy to do any card making then that's for sure! It was a lovely day meeting up with all the rest of my team and other SU demo friends. I have got loads of swaps to sort out now and a ton of ideas for inspiration!

I managed to do 4 cards today for a few challenges and this is the first one. It is for the Our Creative Corner Sketch Challenge #7, Our Creative Corner's other challenge - Think Easter and Sketch 'n' Color #3 to use Apricot Appeal, Lavender Lace, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. (It was confusing trying to work out what Mattgrun was in English until I remembered I could view the German SU catty online and could work it out from there!)

Recipe:

Stamps: A Good Egg, Polka Dot Background

Papers: Apricot Appeal, Lavender Lace, Whisper White, Certainly Celery DSP (retired)

Inks: Basic Black, Lavender Lace ink and marker, Certainly Celery marker, Apricot Appeal marker, Barely Banana marker

Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, Card Candy from Craftworks Cards

My next card is another Easter card and is for Mojo#130 and Just Us Girls #25 to use Light Brown, Light Blue, Yellow and Light Green. I used Creamy Caramel, Bashful Blue, So Saffron and Old Olive, which technically is NOT really a light green, but as it was in the DSP I chose to use, I went with that one. I really struggled with this sketch for some reason. It just didn't work for me at all and the Old Olive panel just looks wrong in my opinion!

Recipe:

Stamps: Loads of Love and Loads of Love Accessories

Papers: Creamy Caramel, So Saffron, Whisper White, Junior Varsity DSP (retired)

Inks: Basic Black, SU Markers in Bashful Blue, Basic Gray, Old Olive, Blush Blossom, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink

Accessories: Old Olive twill (from an old US mini catalogue), Circle Nestabilities, Piercing Tool and Mat Pack, EK Success Wavy Border Punch

Yet another Easter card up next and is for Stampin' Royalty's #11 - the sketch and for Papertake's Weekly Challenge to use Lilac and Lemon! I haven't used any High Hopes Stamps for ages - must get them all out again soon.

Recipe:

Stamps: On Top Of The World, Single Chick and sentiment all from High Hopes Stamps

Papers: Lovely Lilac, Barely Banana, Non SU White, DSP from Papermania (from upteen years ago)

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Ciaos, Lovely Lilac ink and marker

Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, lemon organza ribbon and lilac sparkle twill from stash

My last card for today was for Just Add Ink's #9 - the sketch (although I didn't strictly stick to it - I moved the sentiment and forgot the brads at the top - oops!) and for Stacey's Curtain Call #22 to use Real Red, Pink Passion, Yoyo Yellow, Whisper White and Basic Black! Yikes what a colour combo that is! But I kind of like it!

I used the scrunched up flowers technique that Jane demonstrated at the Reading event yesterday and whilst the vellum isn't as bright as cardstock would have been I like the slightly muted colours. I also added lots of sparkle using glitter on the edges of the flower and now my entire carpet has red and gold flecks in it! Don't you just love how glitter gets everywhere even when you only use the tiniest bit?!

Recipe:

Stamps: Bella's Border wheel, Sincere Salutations

Papers: Yoyo Yellow, Basic Black, Pink Passion, Whisper White, Vellum from Papermania (my SU vellum cardstock was too thick so I must get some of the vellum paper instead)

Inks: Basic Black wheel ink cartridge, Real Red, Pink Passion, Yoyo Yellow

Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Black Brads (hidden in the middle of the vellum flowers)

And that's all my cards for today. I did also make 4 Easter mini baskets which I'll upload in another post as it was for this fortnight's Inspiring Inkin' Challenge.

Thanks for looking!

Vannessa x

Some more cards...

I still can't seem to get off this card making challenge kick and am thoroughly enjoying it but I'm now making so many cards I have nowhere to put them all! I'm also quite late uploading a lot of them as I decided to read a book at the weekend, Dream Warrior by Sherrilyn Kenyon, and couldn't put it down, literally, until I finished it and then I started on Pride by Rachel Vincent and couldn't do anything else until I had finished that one either, so it kind of took all my blogging time away from me LOL

My first card this week is for Stacey's Curtain Call #21 to use Certainly Celery, Always Artichoke, Barely Banana and Whisper White, for Crazy For Challenges #28 to make a masculine card, for Stamp With Us' theme challenge to also make a man's card and for Sketch 'n' Color's challenge #2 - the sketch.

Recipe:

Stamps: Voila

Papers: Always Artichoke, Barely Banana, Whisper White, Certainly Celery DSP

Inks: Basic Black, SU Markers in Barely Banana, Blush Blossom, Certainly Celery and Always Artichoke

Accessories: Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, Martha Stewart border punch

My next card is for Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge #271 and for Stampin' Royalty's Challenge #10 to use only greens and a limited amount of neutral colours. (My Stampin Royalty card entry for last week won one of the Royalty Goddess picks which was a lovely surprise!) Lots of green has been used this weekend, due to all the St Patrick's day challenges, but as I don't celebrate it I've used the colours for other things!

Recipe:

Stamps: Circle Circus, Sincere Salutations

Papers: Garden Green, Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Old Olive DSP

Inks: Garden Green, Certainly Celerly, Old Olive

Accessories: Old Olive Satin Ribbon (this stuff is gorgeous and coming out soon in the UK), Green Dew Drops

My next card is for Just Us Girls Challenge #24 to make a flap card and for Sweet Stampin' Challenge #17 to use Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, Sage Shadow and Blush Blossom.

This is the closed card. The flap doesn't quite close as well as I wanted because I didn't have any magnetic closures so had to use velcro which would then have been paced in the middle of my stamped front. As it is I think it's too low down but it looked worse nearer to the fold.

This is the card with the flap opened - you can see what I mean about the velcro here.

And this is the inside of it.

Recipe:

Stamps: Garden Dream (called Dream A Little in the US catalogue)

Papers: Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, Sage Shadow, Blush Blossom, Whisper White

Inks: Sage Shadow, Certainly Celery, SU Markers in Certainly Celery, Blush Blossom, Apricot Appeal and Barely Banana

Accessories: Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, Circle Nestabilities, Velcro stick on stuff

My next card is for Mojo #129, Our Creative Corner's color challenge to use yellow, pink, green and brown and for SCS CC104 to use Regal Rose, So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Chocolate Chip as a optional colour.

Recipe:

Stamps: Petals and Stems from Verve

Papers: Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, Certainly Celery cs & DSP, Whisper White, Sweet Always DSP (retired), Washington Apple DSP (retired)

Inks: So Saffron, Regal Rose, Certainly Celery

Accessories: So Saffron grosgrain ribbon, Square Nestabilities

My next card is for Our Creative Corner's Sketch #6, Farm Fresh Friday's Birthday card challenge and Color Throwdown #83 to use Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and Crushed Curry - a bright combo there!

Recipe:

Stamps: Happy Moments, Miss Anya Love Collection

Papers: Bermuda Bay, Wild Wasabi, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Melon Mambo DSP

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Ciaos

Accessories: Daisy Patterns Embossing Folder, Word Window Punch, Wild Wasabi ribbon

My next one is for Mercy's Sketch #64, Just Add Ink #8 Easter Challenge and SCS CC261 to use Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Melon Mambo. I made a cute little 4x4" card for this one and love how it turned out.

Recipe:

Stamps: A Good Egg

Papers: Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery cs & DSP, Melon Mambo cs & DSP, Whisper White

Inks: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery (I used my blender pens to colour in the egg shell)

Accessories: Word Window Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Blue self adhesive stones from Papermania

Up next is the card I made for my Mother-in-Law for Mother's Day which was on Sunday March 14th here in the UK. She loves sunflowers so I had to use them for her card. It's also for Papertake Weekly Challenge #36 - the sketch, A Passion For Papertrey's Spring Clean challenge - to use something you bought ages ago and have never used (I bought the banana ribbon about 2 years ago from Taylored Expressions and it has never come out of its little bag before!) and SCS CC13 to use Barely Banana, Summer Sun and Chocolate Chip.

Recipe:

Stamps: Women of Life from PTI

Papers: Barely Banana, Summer Sun, Chocolate Chip DSP, Whisper White

Inks: Barely Banana, Summer Sun, Chocolate Chip

Accessories: Banana ribbon from Taylored Expressions, Cinnamon Stickles

And my final card for today is my own mum's Mother's Day card using Carol's Sketch Fun  #22, ColourQ's #23 to use Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive and Whisper White and for Charisma Cardz #10 to use butterflies. I did stick on the wrong orange ribbon though and didn't realise until I was writing my recipe out - oops! (That's what happens when you watch American Pie 2 whilst making cards LOL)

Recipe:

Stamps: Petal Pizzazz, Flight of the Butterfly, Occasional Greetings

Papers: Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White

Inks: Tempting Turquoise, Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive

Accessories: Dusty Durango polka dot ribbon!, Crushed Curry polka dot ribbon, turquoise buttons from Papermania, Butterfly punch, Piercing tool

OK I best go and link all my late cards - hope all the linky links are not closed yet! Thanks for taking the itme to look at all my cards!

A weekend of challenges

I managed to get a few challenges done this weekend, but not as many as I would have liked, because I have a ton of assessments to do for my APP data, which has to be handed in on Monday.

My first card is for Farm Fresh Friday's "Down The Rabbit Hole" challenge inspired by the release of the new Alice in Wonderland film, which I can't wait to see. I love Johnny Depp and Tim Burton together! I don't have any other "Alice-y" stamps than this one, but I think I can get away with it. I did add some brightly coloured mushrooms in the background. I also used Mercy's Sketch # 63 and Just Add Ink's Challenge #7 to use Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise, Pink Passion and So Saffron. I didn't have any matching DSP that I wanted to use so I made my own - pretty huh?

Recipe:

Stamps: Easter Anya, Queue Up, Thanks Tons

Papers: Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Pink Passion

Inks: Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise, Pink Passion, So Saffron, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Ciaos

Accessories: So Saffron grosgrain ribbon, Metallic Pink Dew Drops, Scallop Edge Punch, Oval Nestabilities

My next card is for SCS' SC270 and Stamping Royalty's Challenge #9 which was to use the photo on their blog for inspiration. I have only recently just found this challenge blog and they have some great challenges and gorgeous DT cards - check them out! (And yes my sentiment is wonky! Despite using my SAMJ I still managed to slip and stamp it wrong. I didn't want to cover it up though so will have to stay like that for now!)

Recipe:

Stamps: Itty Bitty Buds, Sincere Salutations

Papers: Confetti White (this makes a much sturdier base than Whisper White), Ruby Red, Old Olive DSP, So Saffron DSP, Not Quite Navy DSP (from retired hostess pack)

Inks: Ruby Red, Old Olive, So Saffron, Not Quite Navy, Really Rust

Accessories: So Saffron grosgrain ribbon

My next one is for Linda's Purely Stamping #4 to use Certainly Celery, Pixie Pink, Tempting Turquoise and Apricot Appeal, Truly Scrumptious' #27 and SCS Free For All #1 (a new weekly challenge on SCS) to use textures (my flowers and ribbon), DSP (check!) and a colour you don't normally use (mine's Apricot Appeal, which I don't use at all unless I'm doing a colour challenge with it in. It's just not my kind of colour, but I do like it with a bit of bright pink though - I might be converting slightly)

Recipe:

Stamps: On A Pedestal, A Bit of Birthday Cheer

Papers: Apricot Appeal, Pixie Pink, Whisper White, Rainbow Sherbet DSP (retired)

Inks: Certainly Celery, Tempting Turquoise, SU Markers in Certainly Celery, Real Red, Apricot Appeal, Pixie Pink

Accessories: Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, Apricot Appeal and Certainly Celery brads, Scallop Edge Punch

Up next is a card for SCS SC269, Color Throwdown #82 to use Not Quite Navy, Old Olive and Ruby Red (I did have to swap out the Very Vanilla for Whisper White as VV looked wrong with the WW of the DSP - hope I don't get in trouble for that bit :P) and Crazy 4 Challenges #27 to use paper piercing. I used True Friend, which I haven't used in a long time and really should use more often as it's so pretty.

Recipe:

Stamps: True Friend

Papers: Not Quite Navy, Ruby Red, Whisper White, Old Olive DSP

Inks: Old Olive, SU Markers in Old Olive, Not Quite Navy, Ruby Red

Accessories: Piercing tool and mat pack, Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder

My next card is for Stacey's Curtain Call #20 to use Real Red, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Whisper White and for Just Us Girls #23 - the sketch. I couldn't decide where I wanted mys entiment so copied Stacey's idea of attaching it to the bow. Not sure if you can see in the photo but I added a touch of Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the centres of the flowers and the edges of the butterfly's wings.

Recipe:

Stamps: Live Your Dream

Papers: Real red, Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Bashful Blue DSP

Inks: SU Markers in Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Real Red

Accessories: Whisper White satin ribbon, Real Red grosgrain ribbon, Certainly Celery button, Dazzling Diamonds, Circle Nestabilities, Blue Embroidery Thread

Up next is a card for Mojo128 and SCS CC260 to use Crushed Curry, Always Artichoke and Basic Gray. I love how the brightness of the Crsuhed Curry stands out on this one.

Recipe:

Stamps: Floral Symphony, Fluttering By both from Verve

Papers: Crushed Curry, Basic Gray ink and marker, Whisper White, Tea & Crumpets DSP

Inks: Always Artichoke, Crushed Curry

Accessories: Crushed Curry Polka Dot ribbon, Basic Gray Tafetta ribbon, Circle Nestabilties, MS Cornice Border Punch

My next card is for 5 challenges this time!! Charisma Cardz #9 to use fairies, Our Creative Corner's Sketch #5, Sweet Stamping's #16 to make something for a child (what little girl wouldn't like pink and fairies?!), SCS CC124 to use Old Olive, Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink and finally, A Spoon Full of Sugar's #93 to use beads! Phew! I actually don't have many beads as I don't use them very often, but luckily I received this string of clear beads from Linda for being picked for her colour challenge winner last week. Thank you Linda for them!

Recipe:

Stamps: Enchanted Lily from the Pink Cat Studio

Papers: Old Olive, Pretty in Pink cs and DSP (retired hostess pack), Regal Rose, Non SU White cs, Sweet Always DSP (Retired)

Inks: Old Olive, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Ciaos

Accessories: Clear Beads on string, Circle Nestabilities, Green Card Candy from Craftwork Cards, Frosted Lace Stickles

And my final card of the weekend is for Taylored Expressions Sketch #103, Papertake Weekly's Challenge to use Bows, Brads, Buttons and Bling (I used all but the brads and went for Dew Drops instead) and ColourQ's #22 to use Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze, Night of Navy, Sahara Sand and Whisper White. I was flicking through my stamps folder and realised that I hadn't used this stamp for ages and it's perfect for adding glitter to so out it came!

Recipe:

Stamps: Two Flower Flourish from Hero Arts

Papers: certainly Celery, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Baja Breeze DSP

Inks: SU Markers in Certainly Celery and Night of Navy

Accessories: Baja Breeze Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch, Dew Drops and Zoomz in Green and Pale Blue, Certainly Celery ribbon, Night of Navy button, Pale blue embroidery thread, Icicles Stickles

I hope you've enjoyed looking at my creations this week! I had lots of fun making them all.

All Things Magical and Mythical #124 Featuring Sirena 2 from Mmedell Illustrations

Good morning and welcome to this week's All Things Magical and Mythical post. This week, I have used an old digi stamp from MMedell Ill...
