Crafty Sentiments Challenge - Glitter

Good morning and welcome to my final GDT post for Crafty Sentiments. I have been a Guest Designer for the last 6 months and that time has just flown by, but it is now time for me step down from the team and say a big thank you to both Celine and Suzette for inviting me to join them and for asking me to stay on the team. Unfortunately I just don't have time to keep going with so many design teams at the minute as my workload at school seems to just be getting heavier and heavier! I seem to be spending much more time at home marking than I ever did before :(

Anyway this week's challenge is to use glitter, so we want to see lots of it on your project. I used lots of glitter paper on my card this time.

Here is the card closed... You can see all the glitter here really well on the striped paper and all the snowflakes.

And here it is open with the gorgeous Prom Dress all dressed up for a wintery ball! You can't really see very well here, but the pale blue layer of her dress is covered with silver and clear gelly roll pens and white gel pen to add some sparkle there too.

Crafty Sentiments Challenge Anything Goes

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge at Crafty Sentiments. This week our challenge is the favourite Anything Goes. You don't have to use an image from Crafty Sentiments, but we sure do love it when you do!

I used the adorable Isobel Butterfly Fairy for my card this week, which went perfectly with my new Dutch Doobadoo card template!

Here is the card closed... (I did try to use some magnetic sheet underneath the patterned papers but it wasn't strong enough to keep the "front doors" closed, so I added some ribbon instead. The ribbon doesn't quite close it unless it is pressed flat though.

And here is it open... I tried to make it look like the vines and flowers were growing up the side panels. Love how it came out!

Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge #127 - 2 of a Kind

Good morning and welcome to another challenge from the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge blog. This fortnight we are sponsored by Crafty Sentiments and our challenge to you is called "2 of a kind", which means to use pairs of things.

I used my new Let It Snow CD-Rom from Crafty Sentiments and used 2 of the digital stamps from it - the image and sentiment.  I also used 2 folds, 2 patterned papers on the outside, 2 pieces of ribbon with 2 bows, 2 red gems, 2 flowers, each with 2 layers and 2 leaves. See it's so easy to use pairs of things!

And here's the inside using 2 different patterned papers - you can see the 2 folds better this time.

Snowy Greetings!

I don't usually start my Christmas cards this early, although I have already made a couple for specific challenges. But as this is my first pink Christmas card of the year, I thought I would enter it into Crafty Ribbons Challenge #102. I do think I'm probably stretching the challenge a bit, but I don't know anyone with a new baby for a baby's first Christmas, nor do I know anyone whose spending their first Christmas together, so first pink Christmas card it is!

This card is also for The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge to use the sketch below, Crafty Sentiments' Challenge to use spots or stripes, In The Pink's Challenge #52 to use buttons and bows and for Crafty Little Fairies September Challenge to use sparkle and bling.

And here's my card with some very strategically placed frantage to cover up the blob from my W9 marker!
