All Things Magical and Mythical #71 Featuring Queen of Halloween from The Stamping Chef

Good morning and welcome to this week's All Things Magical and Mythical post. I had no real idea what I wanted to do for this post until I went through my folders of already printed images and found this gorgeous digi stamp from The Stamping Chef, whose design team I used to be on many years ago. Unfortunately they don't exist anymore, which is a shame as I loved these quirky, sometimes a bit naughty, images!

All Things Magical and Mythical #43 Featuring Alyce Copic Fairy from The Stamping Chef

Good morning everyone and welcome to this week's All Things Magical and Mystical post. For this week's card, I pulled out a very old digi, which I coloured up many many years ago now for a promo when I was on The Stamping Chef design team. Unfortunately the company is no more, but I just happened to find this already coloured image in a box of old bits and bobs and thought it would be a great one to use.

As it has been so long since I coloured her, I'm not 100% certain of the copic combos I used back then, but have guessed at what I think they might be! I couldn't find any papers with my colour combos on!

I made this cute scene using my Fairy Door die from Tonic Studios, another die bought so long ago and only used once! I am trying to use some of the stuff I have, really to justify all that spending! LOL

This card is for

Recipe:

Stamps: Alyce Copic Fairy from The Stamping Chef, Enchanted Lily from Pink Cat Studio

The Craft Box January Steampunk Box Project #2

Good Morning everyone and welcome to another project from me for this month's Craft Box. The theme this month is steampunk and whilst I love to look at other people's steampunk projects, I struggle with these, so have gone for a much easier one this time!

I used an old image from The Stamping Chef, (sadly they have closed now, but are running as Illustrations by T) which isn't strictly a steampunk image, but I thought she went really well with the theme. I kept to a general gold and brown colour scheme and added lots of the embellishments, ribbon and papers from the box as well as adding some of the micro beads to my big metal flower. Love those things, but they get everywhere! LOL

This card is also for

Recipe:

Stamps: Demented Beauty from The Stamping Chef, Words of Wonder Set 1 from Crafter's Companion

Papers: Crushed Curry & Chocolate Chip both from Stampin' Up, X-Press It Blending Card, Patterned Papers from The Craft Box

The Stamping Chef Challenge #61 The Final Anything Goes

It is with a sad heart that this is my last post for The Stamping Chef Challenge blog. As of January 1st The Stamping Chef will be no more due to the new VAT laws that have come into place in the EU affecting lots of small digital companies, such as The Stamping Chef. But there is some light at the end of the tunnel....Tamara has decided to open a new store Slinky Tart and some of the current images will be carried over into her new shop. The challenge blog will not be running any more unfortunately but you will still see us around in blogland using her fabulous slinky images!

So for my final card, I used something a bit different, Cattitude. Just love these cute little cats and you get lots of little bits in this set too. I went for a purple and grey theme and attempted to do some fur on the cats. I love the way the girly cat came out, but the boy cat was a bit harder. Practise, practise, practise I guess!

Recipe:

Stamps: Cattitude from The Stamping Chef

Papers: Concord Crush (Retired), Basic Gray, In Colors 2010-12 DSP Stack (Retired), Neutrals DSP Stack (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Paw Prints paper from local craft store, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

Inks: Copic Markers

Accessories: Concord Crush Ribbon (Retired) from Stampin' Up, Die-Namics Double Scallop Border Die from MFT, Labels 1 Nestabilities from Spellbinders

And that's all from me for this last post for the Stamping Chef Challenge blog. I do hope you will pop on over to the blog and check out all the other gorgeous cards from the DT and join in the fun whilst you're there too.

Our challenge this week as always is an Anything Goes challenge and I have used the gorgeous Rosey for my card this week. I fancied making something other than Christmas cards and Rosey is such a beautiful image that I just had to use her before we say goodbye to The Stamping Chef.

Not sure if you are all aware, but with changes to the VAT laws in Europe, The Stamping Chef are closing down at the end of the year. But don't worry Tamara will be back with her fabulous brand of digi images under a new name, Slinky Tart with some more new digis as well, in her signature style!

Good morning and welcome to my post for the new challenge from The Stamping Chef. As always our challenge is an Anything Goes one so pull out your Stamping Chef images, get a colouring and join the challenge!

I used the gorgeous Checking Out For The Year for my card. My MIL loved the card I made here and asked me to duplicate it for my boyfriend's two brothers for their Christmas card, but she can have this one instead. I don't like to make 2 of the same card unless I am deliberately mass producing and I wouldn't do that with these kind of cards  - would take way too long!

Papers: Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White all from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card, Nordic Christmas Patterned Papers from First Edition

The Stamping Chef Challenge #49

Happy Wednesday and Happy October too! Can't believe how quickly September flew by! Such a busy month too! It's time for another fabulous challenge from The Stamping Chef and as always it's an Anything Goes Challenge. As it's getting closer to Hallowe'en, I thought I would make a card for it using the fabulously sexy vampire from Coffin Break. Isn't she a stunner?!

I tried to keep her skin really pale, which worked really well against the black hair. I found these blood drips in the Silhouette Studio store and thought they would be perfect for a vampire themed card as was the sentiment. This card was really hard to photograph thought with all the sparkle of the black glitter paper and shine from the red pearlescent paper. But I hope you can see the glamour I was trying to get!

I am also entering this card into Crafting When We Can's Challenge #79 to use no designer papers!

Recipe:

Stamps: Coffin Break from The Stamping Chef

Papers: Perfect Plum, Basic Black, Whisper White all from Stampin' up, Black Glitter paper and Red Pearlescent paper both from local craft store, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

It's time for another fun challenge over at The Stamping Chef and as always it's an Anything Goes Challenge. I used the gorgeous You're Koalafied digi for my card this week, trying to keep to a brown and green jungle-y theme! Have I Got News For You...?

I've been playing with The Stamping Chef challenges on their challenge blog and on their Facebook page for a little while now, and received a lovely message from Kerrie-Anne a couple of weeks ago asking me to join their design team. Well, of course I just had to say yes, so now officially ...

Our challenge this week is as always an Anything Goes challenge and for an extra chance to win 3 of Tamara's fabulous digis, all you need to do is use an image from The Stamping Chef store.

Here's my first DT card using the fabulous Fangtasia. I love my vampires and this one is "fangtastic!" Hehe! I wasn't sure what sentiment to use with her, so made my own on some mini tags! This one is dedicated to Tamara and Kerrie-Anne for asking me to join them all on this fabulous design team!

Naughty Nancy Drew

I love this cheeky, saucy digi from The Stamping Chef and thought she would be perfect for a man's card, especially one of my boyfriend's 12 nephews! Yep you read that right 12 nephews along with 4 nieces, 2 step-nephews, 3 great-nephews and 1 great-niece. Me, on the other hand, have none as my brother is not allowed have any children due to his health conditions! Thank goodness as we have enough already!

Anyway on to the card... It's for The Stamping Chef's Challenge #29 Anything Goes, Sketchy Challenges #73 to use the sketch below and Creative Romance's Challenge One for the Boys. I kept it fairly simply and let the digi do all the talking (cough, cough!) Not sure there would be much talking going on with all that beer she's holding!

And here's my card.
