Hearts Quest Fantasy Challenge #2 & Something Else on Saturday #278 Featuring St Patrick's Day Gnome from Laurie Furnell

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from Hearts Quest Fantasy. This month, as always, our challenge is an anything fantasy goes challenge, but the optional twist this month is to include a leprechaun in honour of St Patrick's Day next month.

For my card, I decided to use this cute St Patrick's Day gnome and make a good luck card for one of my work colleagues who has just got a job at a new school for a higher role (there were none available in my own school 😞). I just love this bright yellow and green combo, which is not one I use very often at all.

The Paper Shelter Challenge #608 - Add Flowers

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from The Paper Shelter. This week's challenge is a nice, easy one - You just need to add flowers to your card. You can use a flower stamp, flowered papers, add flower die cuts or paper flowers. So many different ideas that you could do.

For my card I used the adorable Pip With A Flower single coloring page and turned the flower into a daisy to match my patterned papers and die cuts. I made a big 8 x 8 card to use at work for a colleague's birthday. I like to have a few made up ready for the occasion!

Heart's Quest Fantasy April Challenge & Something Else on Saturday #246 Featuring Lil Gnomie Gnaomi & Gnicholas

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for the Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenge, which I have combined with my usual Something Else on Saturday post. The fantasy focus for the challenge this month is gnomes and with the new release from  Sweet November Stamps of all these cute gnomes, I just had to colour up a scene with them.

I used two of the new gnomes, Gnaomi and Gnicholas and paired them up with some background digis, which are no longer available as digis, just as clear stamps. Isn't this scene just adorable? The bridge and houses in the background worked so well with the gnomes out on their walk!

This card is for

Good morning and welcome to this week's All Things Magical and Mythical post. For today's card, I thought I would make a Valentine, yet not Valentine card. By that I mean I have used a Valentine's image and patterned papers but by changing up the sentiment slightly, it could be used just to send love and hugs to a dear friend instead of my boyfriend! Good morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday. Today I am sharing a card I made for a male work colleague for his birthday on December 30th. It's a slightly bigger card than usual at 6 3/4in (why are 7x7 inch card blanks NOT 7 inches in size! The envelopes are but not the cards!)

Anyway I went for a bright, fun card with lots of layers for every one to sign!

This card is for

All Things Magical and Mythical #101 Featuring Gnome More Tricks from Clearly Besotted

Good morning and welcome to this week's All Things Magical & Mythical post. I didn't do one last week as we went out at the weekend and I just didn't have time to craft for my posts for last week! Anyway, I'm back this week with this fun Hallowe'en card using one of my new stamp sets from Clearly Besotted.

I love gnomes/gonks and I love Hallowe'en so I just had to buy this stamp set when it was released! As I always make loads and loads of Hallowe'en cards especially when I start doing my 13 days of Hallowe'en which is really turning into at least 15 days of Hallowe'en this year, I try to make a few flatter ones to post out to my friends!

I always struggle taking photos of slimline cards when they are in portrait position as I have to stand over them while they are laying flat down and then I get a shadow over it. Must find a better way to take the photos!

Recipe:

Stamps: Gnome More Tricks from Clearly Besotted

Papers: Pumpkin Pie & Basic Black both from Stampin' Up, Ghost Town Patterned Papers from Doodlebug, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty

Inks: Pumpkin Pie from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers

Devil - R24, R27, R29, R37, R39

And that's all from me for this post! Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you all again soon! Have fun!

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to my DT inspiration post for Ink 'n' Splatter. This month, as we are getting closer to Hallowe'en and my favourite time f the year, I thought I would use another of these adorable Halloween Gnomes, which I didn't use during their release month.

This witch is just adorable and I used some of my new Hallowe'en themed dies to make the frame of the card. When choosing my papers, I couldn't decide on which ones would go with her, so opted for some black and white papers to make her pop even more!

Good afternoon and welcome to my second inspiration post for Ink 'n' Splatter this month. This time I am using another one of the cute Fall Gnome stamp sets that was recently released and this cutie is Gnome My Pumpkin Pie. I also used the Autumn Cozies Patterned Paper Pack and love these colours together!

Pumpkin pie is still not particularly big over here in the UK, but I have tried it and while I don't love it, I don't hate it! I do think it is something I would need to try more often and we try to make one every year after we have finished carving our pumpkins for Hallowe'en.

Something Else on Saturday #194 Featuring Gnometastic Birthday Cake from Polkadoodles

Good morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post. For today's post I have used the cute Gnometastic Birthday Cake from Polkadoodles to make a more masculine themed card. It was both my dad's and brother's birthdays recently and I realised I have hardly any male cards, so definitely need to start adding more to my stash.

And here he is - nice and simple with a funny sentiment just for my dad!

All Things Magical and Mythical #68 Featuring Gnometastic Celebration Balloons from Polkadoodles

Good morning and welcome to this week's All Things Magical and Mythical post. I have developed a real love of gonks and gnomes and just had to buy the whole Gnometastic collection from Polkadoodles when it was released last year (I think!). I thought this one would be perfect for a cute birthday card, but could be used for Valentine's as well I suppose. I went for a girly red and pink combo on this one, but this image could be easily used for male themed cards as well.

All Things Magical and Mythical #50 Featuring Just Bee-Cause by Candi O Designs

Good morning and welcome to this week's All Things Magical and Mystical post. For today's card I thought I would use a gnome, which I haven't done for a while. I'm not a fan of real life garden gnome, but gnomes in my card making and gonks for various occasions in the house, I do love. I just bought the cutest gonk witch decoration for Hallowe'en!

I decided to pull out all my Doo-Hickey bee themed dies for this card and ended up wanting to use so many of them, that I went for a gatefold card to get them all on! So this is the front, with the honey drips at the top covered in crystal effects for some shiny sticky honey effect! A few bees and a bee hive finish it off.

Then on the inside is my cute gnome having finished collecting all that honey in his giant honey pot! These papers from Stampin' Up are just perfect for bee themed cards, so I only use them occasionally as they are retired and I cannot get any more!
