Something Else on Saturday #266 Featuring Wedding Couple from Paper Nest Dolls

Good morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post. Today I am sharing a card I made for my BF's nephew's wedding back in the summer. I picked this adorable image and went with pink, black and white as my colour combo. I would normally colour in white using greys, but thought with the colours in this card, I would use really pale pinks and I loved the hint of pink they left!

Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenge #6 & Something Else on Saturday #255 Featuring Lil Bee Emma from Paper Nest Dolls

Good morning everyone and welcome to this month's new challenge from Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenge Blog. This month our optional theme is for you to use fairies on your card or project.

For my card I have used the cute Lil Bee Emma from Paper Nest Dolls. The cute bumblebee fairy just had to have some bumblebee and floral patterned papers to go with her. The sentiments came from some freebies I received in an order from Time For Tea Designs and as I want this card to go to one of the other teachers in my year group for her end of year card, I thought the team sentiment was perfect!

All Things Magical and Mythical #104 Featuring Yeti and Baby from Paper Nest Dolls

Good morning everyone and welcome to this week's All Things Magical and Mythical. I thought I would go with a mythical beast for one of my Christmas/Winter cards this time and used the yeti and baby digi stamp from Paper Nest Dolls that I have had for ages.

I went with a purple, blue, white and grey combo - this combo feel very cold and wintery to me! I did print the digi a bit too big, so had to pop them on to a 7 inch square card base, but I love how quick and easy this one was to put together!

Good morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post. This week I thought I would make a more girly girl card for a change after all those camping themed cards and the Hallowe'en ones which will be coming up soon! (You all know I love Hallowe'en!)

Anyway, this week's card features Rose Princess from Paper Nest Dolls, which I have had for years, but never used! I think she was meant to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast, but I went with a pink and purple combo instead of Belle's yellow!

Scene It Sunday #130 featuring Wizard Boy from Paper Nest Dolls

Good morning and welcome to this week's Scene It Sunday post. Today I have used the cute Wizard Boy (aka Harry Potter, but can't call him that obviously!) from Paper Nest Dolls. I love the Harry Potter books and movies, but not the author so much, so have to separate her from her work!

To create my scene, I used some stencils to create the stone wall and cobbled floor, although I probably should have just gone with grey floor as well as the wall, but they needed to be different and I only have 1 grey Distress Oxide ink! Now with the new one out, I best buy it and expand my colour range! I also used some Hallowe'en dies to add a broom and cauldron as well so Wizard Boy can cook up his potion for a happy birthday!

All Things Magical and Mythical #60 Featuring Spooky House Set from Paper Nest Dolls

Good morning and welcome to this week's All Things Magical and Mystical post. Now I know Hallowe'en was yesterday, so I should be finished with all my Hallowe'en posts, but I have been making so many different Hallowe'en things, that I just have to share them all!

This decoration started out as an MDF tombstone, which I then painted with black acrylic paint, before adding my digi stamps and die cuts.

One side has the spooky house with the trick or treating vampire...

Scene It Sunday #116 featuring Detective Dolls from Paper Nest Dolls

Good morning and welcome to this week's Scene It Sunday. For today's card, I thought I would do a different type of Hallowe'en card and used the Detective Dolls from Paper Nest Dolls aka The Scooby Gang! I love Scooby Doo and will happily sit and watch the TV show, the cartoon movies and the real life movies over and over!

I went for another Scenescape card, but yet again I cannot judge the size when printing these dolls out and they ended up being a bit too big! I think I am going to have to measure the card first before printing next time as it looks like it will work on my laptop screen when adding them to Word to print out! But it still looks cute! I had to mount them all onto black card as my Copics bled too much to the back and I hate seeing that!

I tried to go for a creepy vibe with the spooky trees and fence. The pumpkins were totally inspired by the Happy Halloween Scooby Doo movie that I was on Now TV a couple of weeks ago with "mutant" pumpkins chasing the gang around! I  loved it!

And another view from the top so you can see the Mystery Machine a bit more!

Scene It Sunday #110 Featuring Stone Age Family from Paper Nest Dolls

Good morning and welcome to today's Scene It Sunday post. For this week's card, I have used the cute Stone Age Family digis from Paper Nest Dolls. I absolutely loved The Flintstones cartoon as a kid and just had to have these digis!

I decided to make one of my scenescape cards using the dies from Mama Elephant, but I think my images are just a bit too big for it! But I had cut it all out, so just went with it! On my laptop, the images look perfect, even after printing they looked the right size, but once I put them all together, they just look too big! Oh well, I had fun colouring them and putting this card together!
